Such a quaint little town perched on the waters edge.
Such a quaint little town perched on the waters edge.
Lots of lovely restaurants serving lovely fresh seafood. And some quirky little shops.
We ate lunch at PJ’s known for its oysters.
And at the kingfisher bistro in the evening. Both served delicious food.

Lovely apartment on the Lough.
Lovely apartment on the Lough. The hosts make full use of the space allowing a party of five to stay in comfort. We were there on a Monday and Tuesday night and several of the restaurants were closed which is such a pity which resulted in us having to get take out. The property is right at the entrance to the Greenway and the bike hire company there were great, reasonably priced and very pleasant

Visited Carlingford for a wedding in the Four Seasons Hotel, which is an excellent venue for such an occasion. Quaint small town which was easy to navigate with one way system around town centre. Ate lunch in Carlingford Arms - excellent service and tasty food except for too many onions in chicken curry. Great view of Carlingford Lough from Castle. Visited a few interesting antique shops.

Carlingford is a very beautiful and historic village/small...
Carlingford is a very beautiful and historic village/small town situated on Carlingford Lough that defines part of the border between Ireland and Northern Ireland. It's name reflects the fact that some of it's first tourists :) were the Vikings. Many buildings point to its historic past, most notably King John's Castle. It boasts a variety of restaurants and pubs serving good food, so whether your preference is "surf" or "turf" (or both !) you won't be disappointed. For something to bring home, there are lots of interesting options, including visiting the award winning Garrett Mallon Design House and bringing home one of his distinctive pieces of jewellery or the work of one of his fellow designers featured there.
Love shalom. Have stayed before for a wedding and stayed again for another. 5 mins walk from four seasons hotel. Half the price! Room first class. Picnic tables outside. Just beautiful. Lady who owns it is delightful. Breakfast brilliant. Fella that makes the breakfast, really nice. Will definitely be staying here again. So handy into Carlingford.
Excellent location just outside Carlingford and Greenore. The lady of the house cooks a fine feed of breakfast. Much better than staying at a hotel and the room was massive. I plan to make a trip up for the Cooley poc fada in 2024. Please God this venue is available when I return.
location perfect. just a short walk into the town. rooms very clean and well proportioned. Paul, the host, was quite the character. He was extremely helpful and very interesting, nothing he didn’t know about both Carlingford and the surrounding area.
Excellent property and great host. Fantastic food and exceptionally clean. Beautiful decor and style. Everything for your stay is thought of in the rooms which you wouldn't get in 5 star hotels! We will most definitely be booking again.
Very central location...there was a good bit of noise from the street at night /early morning if you had a room facing it but nothing the hotel could do about that.Otherwise food was excellent, staff very attentive and facilities very good
The rooms were very clean and tidy. They looked dressed like hotel rooms. The breakfast was lovely. Gluten and dairy free options were available on prior request. It was located in a quiet residential area and a 10 minute walk to town.
The location was made even more special as it was the home of the Last Leprechaun Whisperer of Ireland. Very close to the town center in a wonderful setting. Breakfast was great and perfect for hungry cycle tourists.
the owner very helpful and informative. supplying taxi number and has good relationships with other businesses. shuttle service to carlingford was fantastic. lighting to car access, loved hair straightener in room.
Nobody call me back I called the number on the message , I left a message to call me back to make arrangement to how to get in to the property so I find another hotel can you refund my money please

Anne was super great to communicate with both before our stay and during.
House was great for a group of girlfriends -- lots of bedrooms, enough bathrooms and big living spaces to hang out
I liked the location. The room was comfortable. There is plenty to do within walking distance. But as always when I’m Ireland it’s best to have a rental car.
Beautiful location, lovely spacious apartments with gorgeous view, very easy to get into Carlingford and the beds were beyond comfortable! I slept fantastic!
