From my arrival to my departure I felt at home with Annaswood! My room was more than sufficient equipped with a desk, fridge, tea making facilities and ensuite bathroom with a shower. The shared seating area was the steal of the show with the apex window! Mountains, heifers and a cottage core garden - well up my street! Lovely quiet surroundings when I went for a short walk in the evening. A great cooked breakfast in the morning by Eleanor and some light conversation during this time. A short but enjoyable stay!

A wonderful tranquil place away from busy life!
Nestled in the Glen of Aherlow with fantastic views of the mountains and surrounding valleys.
The house hotel maybe a little dated in places but that is to be expected in a place like this and doesn't take away from the wonderful stay we had.... honestly haven't been so relaxed in years... The staff need to be bottled up and shared to all hotels , they truly were fantastic and couldn't do enough to make the stay wonderful, service with a smile that wasn't faked and service was always quick.
The food at the Hunters Lodge was 5*, couldn't fault anything, breakfast was self service and had everything you want from hot breakfast to cereals/pastry etc (our second morning was much busier at breakfast but staff were quick to replenish food items, plates etc.)

Ballinwillin House is the perfect place to stay within walking distance of Mitchelstown centre but once through the gates, you could be inthe middle of the countryside. Easily accessible to the motorway, it is also within easy driving of Fermoy, Mallow and all the lovely villages surrounding them.
We stayed in the coach house which was peaceful and very comfortable with all of hte home away fromhome details that makea difference. Having a kitchen, sitting and dining room for our use if needed was most helpful and the outdoor seating and garden were a delight in fine weather. The 'Thinking Path' was very evocative and the abundant roses in the garden and surrounding the house just lovely.
Elaine looked after us so well without being in any way intrustive. Breatkfast was served in the kitchen of the main house - buffet style cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts and anyting we wanted in terms of cooked breakfast was prepared on the spot. All was delicious, not to meniton the homemade brownbread and marmalade.
We would happily stay again.
