The Clady, hotel in Bunbeg

The Clady, a property with a garden and a shared lounge, is situated in Bunbeg, 6.5 km from Gweedore Golf Club, 14 km from Mount Errigal, as well as 24 km from Cloughaneely Golf Club.

Ann and Seamus made me feel like one of the family. A fabulous location by the harbour with a view from the room that must be the best in Donegal. The food was varied and of excellent quality and Ann went the extra mile with little treats for a long term guest. The Clady attracted a mature and discerning cliental and breakfast became a joyous occasion with fellow guests sharing their experience of Ireland. Such a pleasure to be based in a beautiful old Irish home full of character and history. An unforgettable experience, and most of all after a busy stay in Bunbeg it was always a treat to get back to base in the Clady.

The last time I stayed in Bunbeg was 12 years ago and it has become very run down with quite a few places closed but this would also be impacted by the restrictions etc due to Covid. It's fine if you want to get away from it all.

We loved everything about Bunbeg, lovely coastal area with a fabulous stunning large beach. Where Bad Eddie's boat wreck is a must to see. We dined at Sean Og bar and restaurant - fabulous food. You can visit Gola Island, Cruit Island is nearby too. Walking will give you plenty of beautiful scenery. Just loved it.

This region has stunning coastal scenery and inland the rocky moorland is a great walking area. Be prepared for bad weather. It is not called the “Wild Atlantic Coast” for nothing. The Donegal airport has been voted the most scenic landing approach in the world.

The cabin was absolutely gorgeous, tastefully decorated, very comfortable, warm and cosy. It had everything that was needed. It was great sitting out on the veranda looking at the beautiful scenery, and listening to the ocean, very quiet and peaceful. It is a great location for travelling to other places of interests and some of the lovely sandy beaches in Donegal, Mullaghduff, Carrickfinn and The Boat Strand. Thank you Meave for looking after us and all your little welcoming treats. Everything was perfect, we had such a lovely time.

This was a great place to stay, nestled in Bunbeg Harbour. The hosts were very nice and accommodating. There were no restaurants nearby but they did offer to drive us (we walked about 20 minutes). We had a very special evening of music at a nearby pub (10 minutes away), ‘Teach Hiudi Beag’ that was the highlight of our bicycle tour through Ireland (5 1/2 weeks). Check it out if you are in the area; they play Monday and Friday.

Hugh was a friendly and relaxed host, and the location was perfect for exploring donegal - near to glenveagh, gweedore and the coast. Would highly recommend a trip to the lobster pot at burtonport for a dinner in the evening! The room was comfortable and had a great bathroom with bath. The view from the bedroom window of the beach was really lovely! It was also great to hear irish being spoken by host and patrons in the bar.

The location is spectacular, situated literally among the sand dunes of Bunbeg Beach, you have views of “Bad Eddie” shipwreck right across to Carrickfinn and the surrounding coast. My kids just had to walk from the apartment a few steps and onto the beach. You are 5mins walking distance from Bunbeg with it’s shops and cafes. The surrounding area also has many beautiful walks to enjoy. This is a gem of spot!

Bunbeg House is a friendly, family run inn in a beautiful location, just a quick drive to shops, restaurants and bars. The ferries to Tory and Gola islands are a short walk away. Bunbeg town is an amazing location for traditional Irish music. The room was a good size and with great views over Ireland's smallest harbour. Good options for breakfast.

Everything. The house was just perfect for us. Tastefully decorated. Practical. Stunning views. Close to beautiful beaches. The host really went above and beyond thinking of everything a guest might need. Especially little ones. Our son really loved our stay. Also, the photos don't do it justice!

The location is lovely, situated right on the harbour a minutes drive from Bunbeg village. Beautiful sunset in Bunbeg. The room and hotel is a bit dated (wouldnt turn me off), the food and service was excellent. Had dinner in "Leos", home to Clannad which was lovely in these Covid times.

Bhí an teaghlach, bricfeasta agus lóistín den scoth i ndáiríre. Is deacair radharcra na coda seo de Dhún na nGall a bhualadh in aon áit ar domhan. The family, breakfasts, and accommodation were really first class. The scenery of this part of Donegal is hard to beat anywhere in the world

The staff especially Anita at reception and bar was very helpful. We were on a cycling trip and the hotel had a shed in which we could safely store the bikes. The food was so good in the bar that we ate there for the three nights. The location was excellent for our cycling and walking.
