Didn't really see Bridgend because we were returning from a trip round Donegal, Sligo and Mayo before visiting Derry and flying home from Belfast next day. Moreover, it was raining pouring.
Bridgend is ideal for a one night stopover on such a trip.

Bridgend is a small village located 10 minutes from Derry city centre. Its serves as a good base to explore the Inishowen Peninsula and is only a 5 minute drive from the historical site Grianan an Aileach.
location as it was handy for the airport. staff were so friendly and could not have done enough, from the girl at reception when we arrived and who then went on to serve us our food to the two ladies doing reception and breakfast duties the next day. All three are a huge credit to the Frontier Hotel.
The friendliest hotel in the world! A warm welcome, nothing too much trouble for anyone, quick & efficient service and good VFM food and drink. Comfy beds, spacious clean room. All provided by a team of charming women - made you feel 'one of the family'. Thank you.
