Downtown Bantry has many places of interest and is typical of an Irish village. Every Friday there is a market on the main square. It has all the amenities a person needs. A number of good pubs and restaurants. The food at the Brick Oven is really good. Very friendly people. The Connection has all the high-tech equipment a traveler might need.

I liked that we were in a rural area but close to everything. We enjoyed horseback riding, hiking on Sheep's Head, the pubs, restaurants, and shopping. There was an excellent Italian restaurant with great pizza. The butcher was excellent, and we enjoyed shopping at SuperValu.

Such a beautiful town and area.

Such a beautiful town and area. A compact town centre with amazing views of Bantry Bay and the Wild Atlantic Way. Spoilt by all the food and drinking venues. Bantry House well worth a visit. West Lodge and the Maritime are both great hotels... Good for popping in for lunch or just a drink: very friendly.

Bantry is an excellent base for exploring West Cork and beyond. It remains a traditional old-style rural town full of shops and pubs, locally named. Not very touristy. There's a sense of Irish history about it. It has a a very good Tourist Office and a fine new main square. A very good day to be there is a Friday, market day...excellent for every kind of locally made & grown produce. Bantry grows on you, especially the natural friendly warmth of its people. So, stay a while.

This is an absolutely wonderful hotel. Probably one of my best stays ever. This hotel is located on the habour road, close to the town. Staff at this hotel are excellent. Receptionist very welcoming and friendly. Restaurant food and services was fantastic. I used the pool and it was superb. I asked for a room, high floor, close to the life, and this was the room I got. Parking is free in an underground garage. The room was large and comfortable. A memorable stay.

This was, by far, one of the best places we stayed. Lots of room and everything you'll need is there. Majella and Pat are the most friendly people you'll ever meet. We checked in pretty late and left pretty early. There were a few small items for breakfast. The small washer and dryer were perfectly timed during our vacation. Excellent choice for accommodations. Definitely recommend. Also, Millie was an added bonus!

Huge selection for breakfast all very good quality and efficient service. Our hostess took time to advise us on things to do in the area with full details and instructions - that was really helpful. I loved the 'country house' feel while still modern enough to be spotlessly clean and warm and comfortable. Excellent view over the bay. Good location for travelling. Voilá...3 very happy customers !!

The Dromcloc House was like stepping into a time when niceties were still important. The breakfast table was set beautifully and the breakfast was delicious. The building is old but has everything and I could open my window and take in fresh air and the beautiful scenery. If you don't mind a climb you can walk down to the beach and have a swim.

We loved everything about this B&B. Barbara is such a friendly and courteous host who gave us instructions to find the location and restaurant recommendations in advance. The kitchenette that could be used by every guest was a huge plus. We‘ll miss the lovely breakfast, the beautiful view over Bantry Bay and the nice chats with Barbara.

This is a great house, very clean and beautifully decorated. Lovely views of the bay from the back and the kids loved the bunks. Only problem we had was the internet and phone signal, but don't get me wrong it didn't spoil our trip one bit, we had a great time and totally recommend.
