Downtown Bantry has many places of interest and is typical of an Irish village. Every Friday there is a market on the main square. It has all the amenities a person needs. A number of good pubs and restaurants. The food at the Brick Oven is really good. Very friendly people. The Connection has all the high-tech equipment a traveler might need.

I liked that we were in a rural area but close to everything. We enjoyed horseback riding, hiking on Sheep's Head, the pubs, restaurants, and shopping. There was an excellent Italian restaurant with great pizza. The butcher was excellent, and we enjoyed shopping at SuperValu.

Such a beautiful town and area. A compact town centre with amazing views of Bantry Bay and the Wild Atlantic Way. Spoilt by all the food and drinking venues. Bantry House well worth a visit. West Lodge and the Maritime are both great hotels... Good for popping in for lunch or just a drink: very friendly.

Bantry is an excellent base for exploring West Cork and beyond. It remains a traditional old-style rural town full of shops and pubs, locally named. Not very touristy. There's a sense of Irish history about it. It has a a very good Tourist Office and a fine new main square. A very good day to be there is a Friday, market day...excellent for every kind of locally made & grown produce. Bantry grows on you, especially the natural friendly warmth of its people. So, stay a while.

Room spotless clean. Best breakfast wife and I had for years. Such a vast selection of fabulous, fresh and wholesome food. I would recommend this establishment to any traveller or tourist. Hosts Joe and Deirdre made our stay extremely welcome. Lots to do and see in this West Cork area. Visit Bantry and Ireland’s most Southern Tip, Mizen Head. Will be back soon

Breakfast was lovely. Plenty of everything. You'd never go hungry with Peggie in charge. Nothing was too much trouble for her. No problem with parking and very convenient to the town too. About a two minute drive. About a 5 minute drive to the beautiful Westlodge Hotel. The Marina is gorgeous as well. We had a chance to visit Garnish Island. Well worth a trip.

We had a great and lovely stay at Josephine's and Barry's house! The room was spacious, well-equipped and offered an amazing view over Bantry Bay! We loved all the little design elements in the house. Barry was a great host and gave us great advice for local restaurants and places to visit! We will definitely come here again when we visit Ireland once more!

Eileen was a wonderful host. She greeted us with coffee/tea and warm apple pie when we arrived! She asked us what time we wanted breakfast and what we would like from a nice choice of options. The home was clean and welcoming and the grounds were beautiful. It was easy to find as well. It was close to the village of Bantry, which was lovely.

This was a perfect stay in Bantry! Barbara was a lovely host, the room was even better than in the pictures and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast each day, with many options. The view at sunset was amazing, facing the bay and to get into the town centre was only a 15 min walk. Would definitely stay here again.

Set out of Bantry, but a beautiful location on a lake shore. So calm and quite. Attentive hosts doing their best to make us feeling comfortable. A good base to explore the nice town of Bantry and all West Cork has to offer. A specious room, spotlessly clean, with all the amenities needed.

We enjoyed the breakfast and personal attention of the owners. At the end of a long day exploring it is lovely to be able to sit outside and watch the sun setting over the bay. We loved the gentleness and olde worlde charm of Dromcloc House and hope to visit again soon.
