Gorgeous country hotel in a beautiful spot. The hosts could not have been more kind and helpful. The food at dinner and breakfast was excellent. The spa experience was also fabulous especially after long flights

The hosts were so friendly and welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The accommodated us on our early start the next morning and this was hugely appreciated. The breakfast was so tasty and the fresh homemade bread and fruit compote was delicious. The bedroom was very spacious and comfortable.

There were scones, butter, jam and fresh milk left in the cabin on arrival which was a very nice touch. The views from the cabin were lovely. It is a very peaceful place.

You need to meet the host to get in so therefore you need to know your arrival time. We had to change our time but the host was happy to facilitate that. The host made communication easy. There is NO key box and there are a flight of steps to the property that we were not aware of but it made no difference to our stay..
The host left a great selections of food in the house which we totally enjoyed. The beds and pillows (especially) were super. Good quality items in the house.

Mizen head was marvellous!
Mizen head was marvellous! Bantry itself is beautiful but not much action there. But the whole environment around Bantry is splendid. Many possibilities and gems to visit! We will come back. Definitely.

Downtown Bantry has many places of interest and is typical of an Irish village. Every Friday there is a market on the main square. It has all the amenities a person needs. A number of good pubs and restaurants. The food at the Brick Oven is really good. Very friendly people. The Connection has all the high-tech equipment a traveler might need.

I liked that we were in a rural area but close to everything. We enjoyed horseback riding, hiking on Sheep's Head, the pubs, restaurants, and shopping. There was an excellent Italian restaurant with great pizza. The butcher was excellent, and we enjoyed shopping at SuperValu.

Such a beautiful town and area.
Such a beautiful town and area. A compact town centre with amazing views of Bantry Bay and the Wild Atlantic Way.
Spoilt by all the food and drinking venues.
Bantry House well worth a visit.
West Lodge and the Maritime are both great hotels... Good for popping in for lunch or just a drink: very friendly.

Bantry is an excellent base for exploring West Cork and beyond. It remains a traditional old-style rural town full of shops and pubs, locally named. Not very touristy. There's a sense of Irish history about it. It has a a very good Tourist Office and a fine new main square. A very good day to be there is a Friday, market day...excellent for every kind of locally made & grown produce. Bantry grows on you, especially the natural friendly warmth of its people. So, stay a while.
Seafort surpassed our expectations. We always choose where we stay by the ratings and reviews. On occasion we have been disappointed but certainly not at this accommodation. Seafort was a wonderfully scenic spot to stay with a great host in Siobhan, breakfast choices, the full Irish was excellent, were aplenty and the room was clean and comfortable. A truly amazing place to sit and watch the sea birds of Bantry Bay.
Lovely stay with Josephine at her property. She looked after us so well. Room was spacious, with a fantastic view over the bay (room 3). Room and bed were comfy and spacious. Good shower. Breakfast was to order and was fabulous and tasty. There was a lounge for guests to use complete with books and games. Location was grand just outside of town.
