Abbey Hotel, hotel in Ballyvourney

With traditional Irish music and dancing, The Abbey Hotel offers full Irish breakfasts and bright rooms with private bathrooms. Free parking is provided, and Killarney is a 25-minute drive away.

Everything was nice and clean. We had a bit of a time travel experience as the decor really reminded of the 1990s, but looked spotless and brand new. There's a pub downstairs where you can get dinner and/or breakfast.

Beautiful quiet location with a great view. Lodge itself was pristinely tidy. Deirdre was a breath of fresh air, there to welcome us and show us around the place as we arrived. Incredibly well stocked, has everything you could ever imagine needing!

We had very good food in both the Abbey Hotel and The Mill Inn. The staff in both were very friendly. There are lots of walks in the area, short, along by the lovely river, and longer ones up the hills. There are many cycle trails mapped along the roads. There is currently some through traffic, but a bypass is being built. It is a lovely village and we shall certainly return.

We had our flight into Cork delayed so we're going to be late checking in, and the staff were thankfully able to accommodate this. The hotel's location was perfect, size of the rooms was very good and the bathroom was clean and well equipped. The bar downstairs was well stocked and had a great atmosphere. The self-serve breakfast was varied and plentiful.

Lovely, charming little hotel in a very nice area. There were children and adults playing in one of the patio areas which was nice. Lovely room with a lot of character, old style furniture. I had dinner & breakfast and it was quite reasonable and satisfying.

Charming, my bedroom very simple, slightly old fashioned which I loved. Location superb. . I was disappointed there was no bath.... U expect that in a property described as a hotel.
