This was such a gem! Beautiful location, charming place, very welcoming hosts. We loved relaxing in both common rooms in the evening by the fire with a glass of wine. The honor bar was great. Breakfast was such a delicious spread. There was also fresh spring water available from well in house entrance. Would highly recommend to anyone and would absolutely stay here again.

The Burren is a magical place, geologically so interesting and the flora and fauna exceptional and so.carefully managed by the farmers. We also ordered sunshine and a wonderful sunset. With good friends ,good food and a quiet comfortable bed what else could we ask for ?

Fabulous, well appointed cottage very close to the burren and wild Atlantic way. Hosts did an amazing job.
Would advise to make a note of key code before heading to remote County Clare where signal is intermittent.

We hiked in the Burren National Park (which is free), and that was lovely. It's very rocky, so I'd recommend bringing hiking boots or really durable shoes if you're planning on going on some of the more difficult trails. We ate at Leanne's Lobster Bar and Monk's Seafood - both were great, though their menus do overlap quite a bit (but we enjoyed something different both nights).

Very little choice of places to eat or have a coffee.
Very little choice of places to eat or have a coffee. Tea rooms not open at 11am on Thursday as suggested. Had a fab dinner at Monks and on a return visit next morning at 1130am had great tea n scones in front of blazing stove. Superb.

The hosts were very friendly right from greeting us upon arrival and giving us tips to serving us breakfast before we left. The full Irish breakfast was very good. We had dinner before arriving in Ballyvaughan, and only stayed for one night. We had a car, so it was easy for us to drive into the town centre from there. We would stay there again. We were given tips of sites to see when we left, and one we were glad not to miss was the Poulnabrone Portal tomb.

We only were able to stay one night. It was a great launch pad for visiting the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher. The people were friendly, the food was great and the pub was fun with local, live music!
We recommend it!

The Clare Way is a nice way for walkers.
The Clare Way is a nice way for walkers. There are at least two good places to eat out.
Some side roads are in a poor state of repair. Clare County Council need to fill the pot holes and try and keep the roads in decent repair. This includes some access routes to this property.

A beautiful traditional Irish village with all you need for...
A beautiful traditional Irish village with all you need for a comfortable varied stay in Ireland. Situated between the stunning Burren and the cliffs off the Atlantic Ocean, and nestled on the south side of Galway Bay, Ballyvaughan is ideally located. There are a lot of places to visit in the area. You can swim in the bay or on the nearby Bishop's Quarter beach. In Summer or Winter there are lovely places to visit and in Ballyvaughan alone, the fabulous Monk's seafood restaurant is a great spot with super friendly staff, a warm welcome and really fabulous food. I cannot wait to go back to Ballyvaughan!
This hotel is on top of my list for our Ireland trip. While not convenient for a Galway visit, it's absolutely perfect to get away from it all. It's extremely charming, with views to die for and hosts that go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The two "relaxation rooms" were always ready with a warm fire and it made for a perfect ending of a day spent sightseeing. I can't praise the hosts enough for their attentiveness and overall hospitality. The breakfast was excellent every morning. A true gem!
The location was perfect for our stay right in the centre of Ballyvaughan near to cafes and restaurants. The house was clean , bright and comfortable.
Only downside was our en-suite did not work during our stay. The owner was notified and said it would require to be checked by an electrician. In this instance we were lucky to be able to use the shower in the main bathroom as we were not sharing the house with anyone else.
Everything. the location was perfect right across from the pier. the restaurant was really great and the room was amazing. beds very comfy. we didn’t get to explore the town but it looked great. Some nice shops, bars, and restaurants. Right in the Burren so great for walks and hiking although we did not have time for that. Next time we are in Ireland we will be back here and stay at the Monks.
Location is perfect to explore all of County Clare
A number of shops, bars and restaurants close by
Private safe car parking
A wonderful welcome - very friendly and accommodating hosts
Fantastic advice on things to do in the local area
The perfect breakfast - have as much or as little as you want, but i guarantee you will be satisfied
Great location, 30 minutes from Cliffs of Moher and only 5 minutes to the bay and to Ballyvaughan for food/drinks. Connor was very helpful and great source for local recommendations/tips and history. Room was comfortable, spacious and very clean. Breakfast was fantastic. Highly recommended!
The location is between Ballyvaughan and Lisdoonvarna and is convenient to all tourist amenities, though rural. Its very quiet at night.
The kitchen is very well stocked with equipment, probably the best I've seen anywhere. Nice small sitting room and tv too.
Perfect stay with excellent value! The most welcoming host, Karen accommodated our late check in and gave us good information for our road trip. Breakfast was fantastic! It was our favorite accomodation on a 5 day trip in Ireland. Would definitely go back!
Perfect location for all the attractions in the Burren and less than a minutes walk to Ballyvaughan where there are lots of good restaurants and bars. Awesome host, we are happy to highly recommend it and would happily visit again.
We liked everything! Went beyond our expectations of accommodation. For Ireland in particular. Not ur average hotel in terms of how comfortable and cozy. Building itself is amazing and decorated with style.
The hotel is ideally located for visiting most of the attractions in co Clare and Galway. The food was excellent and cooked fresh
. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was spotless
Monks is a gorgeous small hotel in a beautiful location. The hotel has been decorated with great style. The beds and other amenities are top, and the breakfast sitting by the fire is wonderful.
Central location for touring Clare/ quiet/ very comfortable beds/ good shower/ good food/ friendly staff/ comfortable outside space to have a drink. / friendly bar staff and restaurant staff.
Had a lovely stay, the hotel was top notch and I really enjoyed myself. However my stay was marred by developing a very bad back, so hotel staff helped me contact my insurance company.
The Burren View B&B was the cutest little B&B I have ever seen! The host was incredibly generous and friendly. It's really close to Ballyvaughan, a super cute tiny city!
We really enjoyed our stay here - our hosts were so kind and friendly and made us feel very welcome. Excellent location close to Ballyvaughan. Highly recommend.
everything was great. the hosts made us feel at home. breakfast was outstanding. very fun , relaxing place to stay. our best night of the week in Ireland.
Had a great stay. Staff and hotel were lovely. It’s a quaint little village. So many local attractions within driving distance. Fabulous part of the country.
