Very nice area, remote and tranquil, perfect to disconnect from the urban hum. A variety of beaches with short distance.
Also perfect for stargazing, It has one of the darkest, free of light pollution skies in Ireland, Bortle 2!
For me what makes Kilronan special was the location to Keogh's and it's superb seafood on your doorstep !
Also the house itself looked at on a beautiful lake and each room was full of light.
Sands hotel and the coral beaches are very close , both prime spots to go in the area.
Lastly the host really wants feedback and acts upon your suggestions so as to make it an even better house for the next guest .
Located right on the main road between Roundstone and Ballyconneely, this lovely cottage is a great base for exploring Connemara. The house is modern, clean and well maintained. We stayed in winter and it was warm, dry and cosy. It could easily accommodate larger families or groups. It’s a ten minute walk to the nearest town (Ballyconneely) but in a car everything is easily accessible.
