We attended a wedding at the castle and stayed in the lodges. From arrival to checkout everything was absolutely brilliant. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The wedding was absolutely stunning ,food amazing, I would definitely recommend Cabra Castle for a wedding or a weekend break.
The Hotel Imperial is in Dundalk town centre, close to all the major attractions and shops, bars and restaurants. It has free parking, modern bars and coffee shop.
The 4-star Shirley Arms Hotel is located in the market town of Carrickmacross, South Monaghan. It boasts elegant rooms decorated in luxury fabrics, free Wi-Fi and a fine dining restaurant.

We required a twin room and the property kindly was able to accommodate this even though we initially booked a double. The staff were super helpful and made our stay very comfortable. Due to mobility issues it was great to have everything so close within the hotel and near the hotel. Supermarket next door and plenty of other shops.
Boasting scenic walking and cycling trails, Aaron Vale B&B also has free on-site parking and free Wi-Fi.

Excellent full Irish breakfast. The owners were fantastic. The location was close to the railway station and close to Drogheda Town centre and local amenities.
Set on a working farm in the Boyne Valley, Slane Farm Hostel, Cottages and Camping offers free Wi-Fi and is located next to Slane Castle.

This area has a lot of history, but I dont think the local firms / council use it to its full potential. It is a very old town, the area has a lot of history, but very little has been written/or is still in publication .
Very friendly people, we met a number of people including Louth County Library (Dundalk), RC Church in Ardee and others that were very helpful in finding family information - they helped set up appointments so that we could chat with other people - we cant thank them enough.
