Very friendly staff, they picked us up from the harbour as well. Rooms were comfortable and the facilities provided were adequate. The common area is just outside the rooms but there is also another one in the back that won't disturb those in the room (then you just have to hope you're not stuck with rude French people like us who think their late night cigarettes in the common area just outside the rooms are more important than people's sleep). Staff also arranged taxi to the airport for us.

The people were very friendly. I took a 7km walk to explore. Pagoda has lovely views. Not too much else to explore except life. One bonus I walked into a soccer match with all the village. It was a true highlight.

Interesting town! Locals v friendly and curious about tourists.
Tried a few street vendors and some small restoraunts which were all pretty good!
Take an Ankot (Yellow minivan) around town for 5000rp/person would probably be the easiest way. Gojek works in most areas too!

Sorong is a fishing port town and not much to do or to see, unless you are going diving in Raja Ampat on a liveaboard boat or to one of the dive resorts on one of the Islands. Nice Papuan crafts though...
