We stayed here for 10 days and it was absolutely amazing. Toris and his family are really nice and helped us with everything we needed.
The beach here is beautiful and very quiet. We went surfing almost every day right in front of the hotel. There‘s great waves for beginners to intermediates. For bigger waves, Sorake is only a short ride away and we could rent a scooter with a rack to take our board there.
We stayed in one of the double bedrooms with ac in the yellow bungalows which was really nice. The room was very spacious, clean and had a nice terrace just next to the beach. The upstairs rooms with the blue corridor are also nice but more basic so would recommend staying in the yellow bungalows.
The food was excellent as well. We could even join in the kitchen for a cooking class to learn some indonesian recipes.
All in all, we had an amazing stay and hope to be back soon.

It was a nice mix of traditional and modern. It's located right at the exit of Sorake surf spot, so it's a great spot for surfing. There's a terrace in front of each room, so you can sit, relax, and watch the surfers.
Next door to the Dolin Cottage is a restaurant called 'BEOS PUB', where almost everything is generally good. I highly recommend the seafood pasta.

This is the best place you can stay at. The hostel owner Arif is the most kind and helpful person ever and makes you feel welcome and happy to stay at salty dog. We planned to stay for 7 days and ended up leaving after 22 days but we could stay there forever. You can rent scooter & surfboard at the hostel. We had a lot of fun activities with the hostel such as going to Nias Pro, a canyon with waterfalls, a traditional village, pizza evenings at the hostel and many more. It’s a very social place and perfect to meet other travelers. The juice shop in front of indomaret nearby is also highly recommended ;)
