It's a beautiful area - quiet and peaceful - the morning sunrise is spectacular. We also enjoyed snorkelling at one of the nearby islands. The staff were great at helping to arrange various modes of transport.

As a surfer I stayed at Bebaleq as I wanted to surf Desert Point. It was a brilliant decision. The host Jhon is one of the nicest people ever and in my opinion is a huge part of why you should stay at this property. The room itself is a simple but beautiful raised room/bathroom combo situated in the middle of a field near Jhon's house, which is about a 15 min scooter ride from Desert point (the actual distance is not very far however the roads between the two locations are terrible as anyone who has been to Desert Point will know). Being slightly removed from Desert Point can be seen as a good thing (or a bad thing, depending on your opinion). Personally I found it a positive as the residence is very quiet, with no noise and I enjoyed the fact I was staying in a local village. Also you are still exceptionally close to a protected beautiful beach (it is just this beach doesn't have surf). In particular a highlight I would like to mention was Jhon going out of his way to help cart my surfboards to desert point in the early hours of the morning without expecting any payment for such a service. He truly is a brilliant host and this seemed representative of all the people I met in the village who were exceptionally friendly. Also as a note there are local cattle on the property, they are very chill/quiet but will sometimes rest underneath the house (personally I thought this was an added bonus).

The hotel is fantastic. Jun and his staff are excellent and provide a very personal service. The rooms are lovely and look out to an amazing beach and views. The food is also good. Value for money, I don’t think it can be beaten.

The accommodation is beautiful. From the warm welcome, to the communication in advance, to the rooms and the pool/restaurant area, everything is beautifully and stylishly furnished. The staff is very courteous and friendly. The rooms are beautifully furnished, spacious, with great bathrooms and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast menu offers a wide range of delicious options. Everything is done with great attention to detail. We had the panorama room and loved the view.

Lovely property in a very peaceful location. The staff are friendly and attentive. They have kayaks available to use for free and I enjoyed taking it out to the nearly island and estuary. Recommend visiting with a scooter (or hiring one there) to be able to get around.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were blown away by the staff and service at this resort. We stayed for 3 nights 4 days and would struggle to think of better service we've had in decades of holidaying around the world. Special thanks go to Elda, Ari & the whole team. Nothing was too much for them. They went above and beyond at every opportunity. And seemed genuinely happy in their work environment. The food in the resort was second to none. Guests at other resorts would come and eat at our in-house Italian restaurant because it was the island's best. The environment and surroundings were picturesque, tranquil & stunning. We spent our time snorkeling, reading on the beach, and just taking in the views. We recommend flying directly from Bali rather than any ferry options to get to this remote location. Whenever we are back in the area in future, we will be back at Gili Asahan Eco Lodge.
