Great option as accomodation in Kupang before and after visiting Rote Island. Close to airport, but not far from the centre of town either. Services such as airport and/or ferry pick ups and drop offs very well managed. Staff were friendly and responsive. Michael, the owner was good company. Restaurant menu is a good range of options, and delivers on taste and value.

Great room (upgraded as first one was obviously a smoking room), very comfortable, beautiful pool, great gym, convenient for airport, Grab only £1.20 to get downtown.

I am writing to provide some feedback on my recent stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the overall experience.
Firstly, the room I was given had a bad smell that made it uncomfortable to stay in for long periods of time. Additionally, the toilet was not clean which was quite unpleasant.
Furthermore, the location of the hotel was quite far from the main street which made it inconvenient to access nearby attractions and amenities.
Overall, I was not satisfied with my stay and would not recommend this hotel to others. I hope that you take this feedback into consideration and work towards improving the quality of your accommodations in the future.

On this trip I had Telkomsel data so I could use Grab app. This was a great way to get around town cheaply and safely. I went to the Aroma Resto which is a chain restaurant that served delicious smoked pork. As a solo traveller I found it safe to walk around at night, many food places open until late.

It’s still not a tourist place.
It’s still not a tourist place. The main hotels on the foreshore are ok but there is very little to see and do.
Being a westerner, I couldn’t get a sense of the ‘city’. It was very dry and looked thirsty and tired.
I booked the wrong airport by mistake, that’s how we got there, and I wouldn’t recommend it for more than a overnight hop through.

Like the greenery in town and the small hills in town. Working in Timor Leste so it was nice to visit Kupang for shopping and different restaurants. Not much to do or no tourist things. Good prices.
Very few white people there and it was sweet how the kids watch you, so I would go over and high 5 them. In return they give you big smiles, very adorable.
Good place for a couple days but not much longer.
Unfortunately 3 times people tried to take advantage and over charge you.
Good place to go to for a Visa run from Timor leste.
Location close to the airport. And the transport from Hotel to airport in included in the price (the way from airport to hotel is not included!). Swimming pool was nice as the rooms (working aircondition, nice smell, new furniture and bathroom).
Breakfast very indonesian style (big variety of food, but mainly asian). We really liked the food from restaurant ordered directly to our room <3. Wifi was working well.
This is a good quality mid-range hotel. It was fantastic for the price. The room was clean, spacious, not too fancy but had ALL the amenities required. The staff were very helpful and nice. The undergorund parking was free and easy to access. The pool is good. It is a great location overlooking the seafront with BBQ fish stalls and a great fish restaurants 2 mins away across the road. Highly recommended
This was a scam. I paid online through booking.com and when I arrived the manager gave a long story about their problems with booking.com and then asked me to pay double what I paid online in cash to her for a room. We went to a different hotel and now I'm having a big problem getting my money back from booking.com.
The location of the hotel is brilliant. The staff is amazing. Where else can you join a dance performance during breakfast?
Overall, a bit of rehabilitation seems necessary, but after Covid everyone has to look for funds first. Thus, all fine. I highly recommend Hotel On the Rocks!
Very nice accomodation in Kupang. Particularly the seaview rooms are really nice. Sitting on the balcony and observing late afternoon life on the beach and the sunset is my favorite. The restaurant serves really good food and staff is very friendly and helpful.
Always choose Aston when I travel to Kupang. Room is up spacious, clean, and comfortable. The aircon is easy to adjust. The bed is super comfy. The beach view from the room is amazing. Love the facilities (pool, gym) too
Lovely quiet hotel. The bed is so comfy!!! Really nice staff and the aircon works great. Big breakfast selection but go early, I went at 9am and nearly everything gone.
Nice, new and modern hotel in Kupang with a beautiful sea view. The airport is nearby and can be reached in less than 15 minutes. Very friendly and helpful staff.
