Wow where to start. Beautiful view, Camille and his family are the friendliest/ most organised hosts ever, the home made food was incredible with such a variety of options. Nice and quiet common area for relaxing by the pool, fun little surf breaks within 5 minute scooter ride, fun little pool table to enjoy the view!

A wonderful homestay at scar reef for travelling surfers .

A wonderful homestay at scar reef for travelling surfers . Ian and his family provided a relaxing hassle free environment with breakfast and dinner. Ian has great knowledge of the area and his wife makes the most delicious donuts daily. The homestay has a pool and tea and coffee facilities plus an endless supply of homegrown mangoes . I stayed here for 8 nights surfing great waves and relaxing with my two sons. Thank you so much Ian and family we had such a cool time and can’t wait to come back

This review is for Jelangah Village.

This review is for Jelangah Village. Jereweh is the main town that is adjacent to Jelengah Village where Scar Reef is located. Most visitors come to Jereweh to head to Jelangah. It’s about a 15 minute ride into the village and beach from the roundabout in Jereweh. You can grab an ojek or scooter taxi of you’re getting dropped off by bus in town. It’s a sleepy village with hardly any tourists but surfers and the occassional travelers. Mostly homestays and a few resorts. Expect local food stalls like warungs to be the main food option except for the one popular expat watering hole called Chill Warung. The best local fare and hospitality can be found at Banana Homestay. The owners really know how to maks you feel at home. Expect world class surfing, epic sunset on a pristine beach and warm hospitality from the locals. Make sure to rent a scooter to get around. Check out Kalela waterfall in Jereweh during the rainy season. It’s roughly 30 minutes from the roundabout in Jereweh. Use Google maps and look out for signs. Locals are friendly if you get lost.
