Everything! The rooms were beautifully furnished and the pool area has lots of seating/bean bags/beds to relax on. The staff tried very hard to make sure you had a wonderful stay from greeting us on the beach when we arrived to making sure we didn’t have to carry our luggage anywhere. I would definitely stay again.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were blown away by the staff and service at this resort. We stayed for 3 nights 4 days and would struggle to think of better service we've had in decades of holidaying around the world. Special thanks go to Elda, Ari & the whole team. Nothing was too much for them. They went above and beyond at every opportunity. And seemed genuinely happy in their work environment. The food in the resort was second to none. Guests at other resorts would come and eat at our in-house Italian restaurant because it was the island's best. The environment and surroundings were picturesque, tranquil & stunning. We spent our time snorkeling, reading on the beach, and just taking in the views. We recommend flying directly from Bali rather than any ferry options to get to this remote location. Whenever we are back in the area in future, we will be back at Gili Asahan Eco Lodge.

Good location away from main wharf. The food is lovely and all cooked onsite. Staff are excellent and we liked the garden view villa as it was nice and shady as well as private. The sea view villas got full sun all morning and it would have been quite hot sitting on the deck and inside them.

Lovely property in a very peaceful location. The staff are friendly and attentive. They have kayaks available to use for free and I enjoyed taking it out to the nearly island and estuary. Recommend visiting with a scooter (or hiring one there) to be able to get around.

The resort was ammazing, the villa with the pool we had was super nice and extremly clean, and we had the best sleep on this super comfy bed, the staf were really nice and sweet and aleays try there best to make our stay feel the best, a great thank you on all of them
Not the best island I have been too. Was quite hot with no air conditioning or tv. But was good to do without. Internet only available around the resteraunt.
Because there was not much to do most people spent thier time on the internet. The italian resteraunt in the other hotel was crap.
The biggest deterrent to most travellers was the amount of plastic floating around in the beaches. Not the fault of the hotel.

This sea water is quite clear with very little plastic. The water is heavenly, with quiet seas because of it’s location. The hotel we stayed at was on the Lombok side of the island, so the seas were calm, and often still like a lake. This area feels quite remote, and you won’t see many if any tourists when you are boating around. So there is a sense of seclusion and being in a remote location. This would be a nice area to take a sailboat if you can find one to rent. They will be increasing the number of fast boats scheduled to go to this area soon, so that it’s faster to go direct to Gili Gede from Bali every day, instead of the twice weekly (Monday and Friday) schedule available now. We had to take a fast boat to Bengsal and drive 2 1/2 hours because we booked our hotel on a Saturday instead of Friday, not knowing that we couldn’t just get a fast boat direct to Gili Gede any day but Monday and Friday. There are only 4 places to stay on the island at this time, and we stayed at Amahelia, which is by far the nicest. Someone from Belgium is building a really nice resort on this island that will have 20 villas with private pools, we heard. It is still under construction. Gili Asahan is definitely worth adding to your list of places to go for a quiet, remote and peaceful trip, with wonderful seas to swim and boat in.

This is a great place to relax and get away from it all. Even during dry season, this place is still beautiful! The snorkeling right off the beach is amazing. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. There's several comfortable seating options by the beach. The restaurant offered varied options and every meal I had was great.
