The wellness is amazing for a couple with a baby/kids. Not too big, but includes everything you need. You can see the baby pool from the saunas. Gastro is also fantastic.

Rooms were large and clean. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and wide choice. Wellness was super. Pool was smaller but was opened from 7 - 23. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back.

During my recent stay at the luxurious Hotel Silvanus, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I walked into the elegant lobby, I was greeted with exceptional service and attention to detail. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with a stunning view of the forest. The amenities were top-notch, including a delicious on-site restaurant. Overall, my experience at the hotel was truly unforgettable and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a four-star experience.

Pretty hotel, good pools, lot of food options. We had a ground floor room but it was quiet.

Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, Harangvirág Apartmanház - Visegrád is set in Visegrád, 40 km from Heroes' Square and 40 km from Hungarian Parliament Building.
Too remote, too quite.
We enjoyed the castle and the view (which is awesome) at the top and a hiking path it has to offer.
Did it in 1 day and got bored.
Nothing to see there at evening - almost everything is closed.
In addition, it is very remote and we barely managed to order a taxi.
Would recommend to have a day trip by car and go to Szentendre instead - very appealing and has lively promenade.

Be aware that booking through Booking.com you will NOT be given ALL the details regarding price, you will be offered a good price which comes with caveat that 'taxes will be payable at the hotel' actually turns out to be twice what you're being offered through Booking.com
The hotel staff 'conveniently' couldn't speak English when advising of an issue with the shower in the room, then nothing was done to alleviate the issue.
The Hotel itself is a lovely stay but head the warnings above so you're not caught short at the reception area.

Unfortunately we only stayed shortly, but had time to taste the best ice-cream with a big variety of flavours in a local shop. We also visited the Castle of Visegrád, from where you get the best view of the Duna - kanyar.

There is not much to do there in spring but the view is pretty. The bob park was fun! The forest is also pretty, had a nice walk in there.
We visited the castle and the palace. The castle was a huge disappointment, no proper structured information about how it looked like or its proper cleqr history. Exhibition is very amateurish, here again no proper explanation, especiallynot in English. Quality of restoration is also disappointing.
Palace has a very nice exhibition but its restoration process and level is also a disappointment. They added concrete skabs in both buildings during the restoration which reqlly doesn't fit to the style and era when these buildings had their best days.

Visegrád is The smallest city In Hungary, but the same time the oldest one as well, which is a real curiosity for the whole Danube Bend and our country.
The history of Visegrád dates back to prehistory. It lived its true heyday in the time of the Anjou kings.
The city is a popular excursion destination, full of attractions.
In addition to the Citadel, there are several places to visit.
The 4th century Roman fortress, the 13th century Solomon's Tower (ie the Lower Castle), the King Matthias Museum in the Royal Palace, the Catholic Church, the Görgey House, the Pálfy Castle and the Bobsled Track.
Nature lovers can hike in the Pilis mountains.

A quaint small town surrounded by hills and greenery. Great if you want a break from the city and nature escape. Tons of opportunities for hiking, nature-walks, castle-views and river-bank relaxing. A day-trip is enough to see the main spots, otherwise, a weekend-stay maximum.

Great location very close to the bus stop. Very beautiful surroundings within walking distance of Visegrad town (going by bus is also possible), a nice hike from the citadel and 30 minutes walk from the "official" beach. Nice cottage house with good facilities and with a lovely terrace/small garden . Anna was a SUPER host - kind and helpful. She told us about the area (what to see and eat) and even helped us decide which town to travel to next.
Very comfortable room with views of wooded hills. Good breakfast selection and the dinner buffet was extensive and tasty.
Easy to reach the walking trail ( relatively steep and somewhat degraded) to the fortress. Downhill track to Salomon’s Tower in better condition but steeper.
Hotel had pool and other facilities which I did not use but hotel seemed popular with families.
!I wish I read more of the previous reviews before booking here. it's a nice concept, and clearly a lot of thought went into the design and (re)decoration of this hotel. But that is about it - very little of that charm translates to the comfort of the stay.
