The hotel was in an ideal location for us travelling through Croatia from Pula to Split and placing us close to the River Gacka and an easy drive to Plitvice Lakes. The hotel was very clean and well equipped and we had a very comfortable and spacious room. The menu choice was huge and the food excellent - and very reasonably priced. The owner and staff were extremely hospitable. We were also fishing in the area and had many top tips from the owner. Plenty of parking spaces and good WIFI. This hotel was perfect for us and gave us our best (and authentic) hotel experience during our 7 day vacation in Croatia.

The beautiful scenery of the river Gacka, its springs, the possibility of walking and jogging in nature or hiking in the nearby National Park North Velebit, are good reasons to come to this beautiful town in Lika.
And if you find yourself in Otočac, be sure to stop by the pizzeria Ruspante in Sinac, in the immediate vicinity of the picturesque Majerovo Vrel. There you will try one of the best pizzas in Croatia.

A small place in the Gacka River valley is surrounded by beautiful nature.
Environment the Gacka River is a pearl for itself.
There is lot of places for stay. In place are few markets, cofee shops and restaurants.
The apartment is in front of a forested hill facing a peaceful village. There is a bedroom, a bothroom, an open kitchen in a corner of the living room where the sofa can be converted into a large sofa bed. The apartment is airco'ed, but we even didn't turn it on because the house is cool in summer. There are necessary utensils in the kitchen. We paid a day visit to the Lakes National Park with ease. We also enjoyed an afternoon walk in the forest.
Midway between the coast and the amazing Plitvice lakes national park (and half of the price of the studios on the coast), a comfortable, fully equipped, clean apartment with a little terrace and incredibly friendly owners (who stay in an independent apartment at the upper floor). Quiet neighborhood, a supermarket just a 3-minute drive away and a picturesque little lake not much further. Highly recommended.
Everything was absolutely fabulous. The apartment was tastefully decorated, fully equipped, and immaculate. Mariana, the owner even put 2 beers, a small box of Lindt chocolates, and a fresh flower on the table for us. There is a beautiful garden with a built-in barbecue and patio furniture, and secure parking right outs6the apartment door. We couldn't have asked for anything more.
Wow. This was an amazing place to stay. Otočac is a perfect place to sleep if you're planning on visiting the Plitvice Lakes. The holiday house felt like a home immediately, because the host gave us a warm welcome and a tour of the house.
The view is amazing and the facilities are endless. Would definitely recommend!
A nice place on the road from Poland to Adriatic sea. It's clean, spacious with the welcoming owner. You can relax in quiet without spending much. They have a little playground for families with kids. A lot of atractions near for people WHO would like to stay longer such as National Parks and river.
Our host, very friendly and welcoming, offered us local rakija and a pack of homegrown raspberries that waited for us in the fridge. All you might forgot at home you'll find in the apartment: toilet, intimate care and laundry accessories... Great value and location right in the center of Otočac.
A cozy apartment, they left fruit and milk for us, which we forgot to buy in the evening for breakfast. The apartment was very warm, nice and comfortable stairs to the second floor. In protracted wanderings, you begin to truly understand the value of such apartments, unlike soulless hotels.
This place is so charming and well crafted. The location is scenic and peaceful, perfect for families! The house itself is spacious enough for four people and it is pet friendly. Hosts are super kind and helpful. Free parking right in front of the house as well. Highly recommend staying here!
Cozy apartment in a quiet location. It is comfortable, especially the living room/dining area. There’s also a very nice patio with a table and a couple of chairs, ideal for an afternoon coffee. Easily accessible by car (parking just outside). All in all, I recommend it.

We really enjoyed our short but very comfy stay at s&d house! House is located in the coutryside of Otočac, is fully equipped and hosts are really kind and helpfull. We recommend the house if you want to visit Gacka Valley, Velebit and Bear Sanctuary.
