Wonderful city, excellent continental cuisine, many "chardas" to choose from. European avenue a "must walk" for the unique city experience, I also recommend the visit to the Tvrđa. Osijek is extremely walkable, very charming.

I like very much the architecture of the older parts of the city.I love walking near the river in the mornings or during the night.There is beautiful sand beach on the other side of river, where you can have nice swim in the river or in the pools.You can have perfect Osječko beer in a lot of bars in city center.There are very good restaurants in the city and in a closer range outside the city.You must see cathedral which is by me the nicest church in Croatia.But the best of Osijek is the warm and generous people of Osijek who will make you remember your stay for the rest of your life.

Small, cosy, neat town.
Small, cosy, neat town. There is nothing impressive to see, but it is a very nice town to be in, and many options for visitors in the surroundings around. The people are friendly, the place is secure, the food is excellent as everywhere in Voivodina after all, and one can have long walks, visit the old city, and nearby destinations as Coparcki Rit, or Pamuk.

Osijek is a little hidden gem. This was my first visit but I'd be happy to return. Fantastic seccession architecture in the town centre, a lovely old town in the "Fortress/Citadel" area (with cafes, bars etc) and on the other side of the bridge I found some great restaurants (with special mention to "Csingi Lingi Csarda") and vineyards. A very enjoyable few days in Osijek.
It was such a beautiful tranquil place. Osijek is a beautiful city in Croatia but still has the local charm. The location is prefect no more than a 10 minute walk. The hosts were a lovely family was such a delight even allowing late checkout and offered me an apartment until my train in the early hours departed.
The apartments are stunning too! Everything has been well thought out and has everything a solo, couple and even a small family need for a break. Wished I could have stayed longer, thank you
Nice vintage country house with garden and parking place but also in a walking distance from Osijek's center. Even the house from the outside looks like those in small villages, bedrooms are really nice and in modern style, kitchen and living room are spacious and in traditional style. The garden in the backyard is a perfect place to have breakfast or meals. Lady host and her daughter are really very kind and nice people. I also bought a good croatian rakia from their own winnery. Good stuff trust me!
The apartment is spacious, with lots of light and a view of the river Drava. It has two small balconies and a fully equipped kitchen (except for the dishwasher, but we didn't mind). The rooms are big enough, and the living room is comfortable. The location is great with lots of parking nearby (some free, some that you need to pay, but it's not expensive). Across the street is the 'Osijek Hotel' so if you have some event there like we did, this is perfect. I recommend this apartment.
The apartment is beautiful and spacious. Its interior design is very relaxing and calming - you can't help yourself whishing this was your home. Location is perfect - 10minute walk to the center of Osijek, but with a big balcony overlooking Drava river and the surrounding green scenery. Bed and pillows are great, bed linen, towels super clean, huge shower in a nice bathroom, the apartment is quiet... all you need for a good rest and sleep is provided.
It was exceptional stay, friendly host waited for us at our arrival, explained all details we needed to know, all places we could visit, all directions we could go to, in one word Melita explained everything we needed to know. The apartment is large, warm and clean, it had everything we needed. The location is perfect, walking distance from downtown, located on quiet street with free parking. Very nice historical location with many coffee places around. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Parking for car is provided which makes stay in Osijek much easier since walking distance to the city centre is about 20 minutes walk. Hotel offers great breakfast with lots of fruits and vegetables, warm dishes like scrambled eggs, grilled vegetables, etc. but also specialities of the local cuisine.
I adored both exterior and interior of the place. This is in fact a brewery, coffee shop and the restaurant in an old house in the old part of the city (remains of the fortress, so the district is named " Tvrđa" as a kind of shortcut or deminutive of " utvrda" what means " fortress" in Croatian language). The first flour and the attic of the house are turned in a sort of boutique hotel.
Firstly, the host and the amenities truly stand out. You'd be eager to return to this appartment if you find yourself back in Osijek. It's perfect for those travelling by car, as it offers reserved parking directly in front of the house. Located on a peaceful street, this setting ensures a tranquil stay with all the conveniences needed for a memorable visit.
The apartment is not far away from the city center and it's newly built. There are several stores and a bakery nearby. The internet connection was good and stable. The communication with the owner Tanja was quick and easy. All in all, the apartment has everything that you need for your stay and exploration of Osijek.

It is an older hotel which was semi-refurbished, so there are some updated facilities (I would say mainly lobby and restaurant)

It was a perfect choice for our one week stay in Osijek, because of it's closeness to city center and to the riverside. The whole apartman is clean and very well equipped and a bonus point was the good music sounding from the speakers, which gave a nice, chill, cozy atmosphere.

Great stay in the old town of Osijek. Good restaurants nearby amd places where you can eat and drink. The hotel is self checking type, you get the key and enter your room.
