we loved the apartment- modern, spacious and had everything we needed! the hospitality was so so lovely - we felt like part of the family! and we had a lovely time lounging and swimming in the pool.
the apartment itself was really spacious and it was lovely to have friends over to eat dinner together on the balcony. the beds were comfy, the kitchen was well equipped and the shower was nice and hot. we couldn’t asked for anything more! outside we had enough space to do some yoga each morning. there is a lush communal bbq space which we didn’t make use of - but will if we stay again. the pool was so lovely to use - nice that it has a baby pool attached and it felt really clean.
it is just a short 3 minute walk down to the town square (food, bakery, shop etc). there is a lovely restaurant (with a donkey sign) 1 minute away too.
all in all we loved everything and felt so welcomed there. when we arrived Nico greeted us with a drink and some homemade snacks. we couldn’t have asked for anything more.

We loved our overnight here! A lovely place - and wonderful staff. Niko greeted us so warmly and was very helpful with our bicycles and bags. Had the best sleep we’ve had in weeks and the breakfast was delicious— especially all the fresh fruit and good coffee.

The village of Vamos, just a bit isolated from the main route, provides perfect place for a relaxed getaway. Being quiet place, at the same time provides for all your needs - with it's local shop, great bakery, petrol station and at least 4 nice places to eat, with Τα Πλατάνια barbecue being our favourite, serving very simple and limited choice, yet delicious local food. Despite some ilolation, there's still just few kilometers to the main national road, making Vamos excellent starting point for local trips, like Samaria or Imbros gorges, lovely beaches nearby, Chania or Rethimno

The local beach was Koutalis Beach.
The local beach was Koutalis Beach. Not really walkable, and rocky so great for snorkelling.
Almyrida Beach was the local sandy beach, and is also a busy resort. Nice bars & restaurants, but I would think it would be too busy for me during high season.
The roads are challenging in some places, never a dull moment! Once you learn to drive like a Greek you will be fine!!!

Vamos and the Apokoronas peninsula is a unique unspoilt area of olive groves, cypress and carob trees surrounded by sea. The village of Vamos is typical of others In the area with traditional houses and an interesting history. Vamos is a lively place in summer with tavernas and coffee shops and a jazz Festival in July. Memorable, relaxing holidays.
The house has a very nice architecture and a lot of areas to sit around the house. The pool is small, but was totally enough for a short refreshment. Vamos is a small and cute village and in the mini markets you can get the essential things. Also what's really cool is the mobile fruit car, which drives around every morning and stops in front of the house.
We really enjoyed our stay in the house and everything was so uncomplicated and friendly. Even the cleaning after a few days was great luxury for us. Thanks a lot for everything!
I wanted a reasonably-priced base from which to explore Apokoronas, with a bed, shower, fridge and somewhere to relax outside - and that's exactly what I got. (I can highly recommend the swing seat you can see in the pictures in the garden - I had a very comfortable nap in that after a long day!) Just a few minutes' walk to the centre of Vamos with great cafes and restaurants, and very central for trips into the country or to the coast. The host is delightful - so friendly and helpful. I would come again - indeed, I plan to
Zafeiria's Suite has everything you need and more! The views from the terrace and 'glass room' are absolutely spectacular. The apartment is clean, comfortable and well equipped. Zafeiria is an excellent host! We especially enjoyed the little extras, like the telescope, movies/books and of course the hottub. Villages are technically within walking distance, but it is highly recommended to have a car here to explore the beautiful Apokoronas region. Wish we could have stayed longer!
The host, Manolis, contributed greatly to make our stay very nice. Quick to answer all questions, kind and generous (gave us cake, his own eggs etc). Vamos is a perfect centre spot for walking; we made four great walks in the surroundings following the new Apokoronas/Chania trail network. The house is new with nice decorations and with much care taken to environmental protection.
The welcome by Irene and Nikos was lovely. Lots of little details in the villa, things ready even as my flight was delayed, with a beautiful welcome pack. Took time to check all was good too. The location is great. Five minutes to walk right in the centre of Vamos but when driving, not long to get to many local sights, other resorts. Will be back
The host is excellent. It is in the outskirts of a small charming old town. Our host gave us great ideas on where to tour, for example Chania, and the best way to get there. He even provides an online walking tour of Vamos, which we enjoyed. Absolutely the nicest place we stayed in during our five weeks in Greece.
Very nice and quiet house on the edge of Vamos. One taverna at very short walking distance, other facilities (minimarket, pharmacy, tavernas) a little further into town at 5-10 min drive.
Kostas is a really nice host, ready to help when our suitcase did not arrive with us.
We were accommodated in "Vamos Fabrica Farm", 1km outside of the village. It is a nice hamlet of 5-6 houses immersed in the green countryside of Vamos. Our house (Diktamos) was recently restructured and pleasant to stay in. The Fabrica owners are very friendly and helpful.
The property has a wonderful garden that creates a serene environment. Located right next to the main road of the village of Vamos it is very quiet and safe yet it allows you to experience first-hard all the activities and the local shops of the area.
The village is lovely, the place is located quite near to the Main Street. It is spacious and has beautiful views from the terrace. The contact person was nice and friendly. The place had a welcome raki on the table.
Clean modern apartment on the edge of lovely village with super views of the White Mountains.
Fantastic friendly hosts.
Apartment fully equipped, light and airy.
Great base for travelling this lovely area.
The property was clean, modern, with all the amenities needed for a pleasant stay. Secluded enough for privacy and relaxation, but close enough to the village to enjoy a delicious meal.
The Facility of Terra Vamos Villa is great . location is nice, isolated in the mountains and pretty close to Chania. The villas are very nice and great pools.
