Good location, but far from beaches
The hotel is about a 35-minute drive from the ferry and located in a small village with several tavernas and restaurants nearby, which was convenient. Although it’s close to the sea, we didn’t swim there as it was a bit far from the well-known beaches.
The furniture and kitchen in our room were a bit outdated, but the sheets, towels, and overall cleanliness were very good. The staff was very responsive, and they answered all our questions quickly. If you're looking for a quiet place to stay, this hotel is a reasonable option.

If you are looking for calm and easy place to stay at, Skala Marion is the right place for you. The village is relatively small and even there are lots of tourists to stay there it does not feel crowded. There are 4-5 nice small tavernas on the very port of the village which give you a nice choice to have lunch or dinner, nice bakery too. There are 3 beaches in walking distance and probably more than 5 other in less than 10-15min with car. The two "big" towns in the island are less than 10-15min away as well ( Limenaria and Potos ). I really recommend this place if you want to stay away from crowds.

Not so great for me, I was expecting at something else. Everything was quite expensive. For example, other friends went in Lefkada where all the beaches are really beautiful and nice, and the prices were almost the same as here. But here, I was not so impressed. I had the same locations in my country but more cheaper.

Skala Marion is on the South-Western coast, therefore you'll admire incredible sunsets. It is a village, not a town, and has a quiet atmosphere, not an effervescent vibe. There are some little shops and quite a few taverns, where you can eat fresh local food (especially fish and seafood) but also regular restaurant dishes, at a fair price. People are friendly, the three beaches (Sunset, Skala Maries and Atspas) are sandy and children-friendly, the water is clear.

The balcony has beautiful see view and sunset scenery is amazing.
Breakfast is served at nice terrace , and extra cup of coffee is not a problem. Breakfast is served, and is not self service.
During first half of september, there was plenty of parking area around the apartments, so parking was not an issue at any time.
Center of the village is 3min walk away with great restaurants with good see food.
Another 3 minutes, and you reach city main beach.
Great value for money.
Regarding the accomodation: 1 minute walking from a small beach, 5 minutes walking from a bigger beach with sand.Confortable bed, clean room, clean sheets, clean bathroom, wonderful seaside view from the balcony.

Regarding the location: Skala Marion is a nice and quiet area, perfect for enjoying the seaside and resting. A more lively nightlife is within less than 15 minutes drive. In the near vecinity of the accomodation there are few tavernas, pharmacy and a mini supermarket.
We really enjoy our stay in Skala Marion, from the start the host Minos was very helpful and show us the apartment, even helped us with our bags, in the middle of our stay the apartment was cleaned and the towels changed. The apartment has everything you need, the wi-fi works really good, the location is great, a 2 minute walk from a beach with free sunbeds.
The apartment/hotel is very nice. We are very contented with the location as it was 2 minutes from the beach, there were parking spots in front, the view to the sea is awesome. There are A/Cs in the rooms and nice spacious terraces.
The place is great, has the best view in Skala Marion, the room is spacious, everything's clean, towels, sheets.
The host is very nice, we appreciated the small dishes, very kind of her, it was an amazing 10/10 experience!
