Loved loved loved the location - you're in the middle of beautiful hills full of olive trees. And the breakfast was the best one we ever had in a hotel! All local products that they make. They have also welcomed us with a home made drink and visit to their olive and wine museum, not to be missed!

Very polite owner, she came with a lovely treat on our arrival - thank you :) Big flat with an equipped kitchen which allowed us to cook dinner on both nights. Lovely view and a nice yard. It was very important to us that it was a pet-friendly apartment. Finally, just an 8-9' drive to Monemvasia.

This hotel is magic - I feel like we chose the perfect place for our 2 night stay. It’s just away (2 minutes) from the main drag of restaurants and bars and so it’s very peaceful and serene. Our room had a lovely terrace where we could have drinks and relax, and the room itself was absolutely beautiful. Owners Voula, Alex and the team are extremely friendly, warm and welcoming and the breakfast is excellent, with homemade preserves, baked eggs, fruit, juice and pastries. We really could not fault it and are very glad we stayed here.
The recently renovated Hotel Aktaion is situated right at the entrance of the bridge leading to the castle of Monemvasia. It offers stunning views of the rock of Monemvasia and its small port.

Spiral stairs are not my favourite by I hate escalators as well
Wish I could live in the villa permanently
Highly recommend that you ask Katerina for the best route in and out of the village as has extremely steep hills
Would be great to get a car with new tyres - unlike our hire car - as we were stuck on the hills and very frightening
