Great location in the centre by the water front, next to many cafés and restaurants. Room facing the sea; lovely view. Breakfast served (at least off season) by choice with lots of alternatives; very delicious! Friendly staff. We found parking next to the hotel and would return if and when we visit Gytheio again.

Everything was lovely in the room and the location was great. I was travelling with my daughter and 2 beds were provided for us as requested. We had difficultly connecting to the wifi on the third floor the first night, Brought it to Demetri's attention and were moved to the second floor the remainder of our stay. Demetri made it for an excellent stay.

A great hotel, not to say a finely designed small village in wonderful nicely designed gardens and landscaping, a fantastic swimming pool , an acceptable beach - not really the best - a very spacious room plus a large verandah overlooking the med , the gardens and Gythion at a distance of a few kms..Breakfast rather rich but not self service, you stay in line for the 2 waitresses to serve you - why not self service ? - . Service more than professional with a great genuine smile...On the negative side, the private driveway from the main road to the hotel (700+ metres) is the worst I have seen in the recent years, as if you drive on the worst surfaced cement road. As of mid September , the restaurant is closed so apart from the bar which is open till 20,00 hours, there is nothing available, there is absolutely nothing to do , with nothing around , nowhere to go if you don't have a car..You are in a fine hotel room in the wilderness. You can only watch the tiny 18 inch tv which is a shame for such a hotel... Internet connection is a disaster. No room service at any time of the day or night..

Beautiful hotel - very clean and has a lovely calm atmosphere - Marilaina and Yannis were extremely helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough for us - great location just a few minutes walk to the beach and tavernas - would definately stay again if we ever visit the Pelloponesse - thank you

Perfect hotel on the beach. The room was very big, super clean and has everything needed. The staff were so nice. Everyone were helpful, always with a smile - really, best staff!
The hotel offers a very nice breakfast. It is located 8 minutes from Githio. Perfect location after you understand how to get there (at first the GPS took us through little streets). We had a great vacation and will be happy to return next time :)

Great town with amazing restaurants and beaches. Big enough to explore and small enough to see in a few days. Also, nice bars for after dinner drinks too. Shop owners and restaurant owners are very welcoming and they all spoke English.

Interesting town I expected it to be more picturesque but a good chunk, maybe a third of the town's buildings, are abandoned and derelict which really brings the whole place down. Overall though it was pleasant, vibing in the evening with loads of nice restaurants. Not much nightlift but that doesn't bother me.

The Olive Yard was perfect!
The Olive Yard was perfect! It was beautifully decorated and very clean. The breakfast basket was the best we had in Greece! The hotel staff washed, dried and neatly folded our laundry. It was very much appreciated, especially when you're on a road trip around Greece and don't often have access to laundry facilities. The staff were so friendly and I enjoyed meeting and chatting with them. Beautiful local beach which is a short walk from The Olive Yard. Perfection...and I will definitely stay there again.

The hotel lakonis 1972 is getting renovated so the view will be much better than a old building skelete.

Gythio is a working small port with a pleasant promenade...
Gythio is a working small port with a pleasant promenade lined by good restaurants. It seems to have remained unchanged. As it was the last night of a longer driving trip, we didn’t have the time to see other interesting sites, such as the museum and shipwreck, of the town.
We ate at Saga which was terrific!
The owners have added all modern amenities to this historical building without disturbing the original architecture.
Mavrovouni (<black mountain>, Montenegro) is practically a suburb of Gythion but still a separate village and the tower overlooks the main square with several tavernas directly in front of it. Across the road there is also a mini market/cafe with fresh pies for breakfast
The famous beach of Mavrovouni (thick sand, endless) starts just below the village. Too steep to walk up- and downhill but only 5 minutes by car
Bathtub in my room, sea view, enough counter space in the bathroom, TALL ceilings, balcony doors amazing ( a choice of sheer curtains, glass doors or darkening metal storm doors so you can have airflow, light or darkness.. 6€ buffet breakfast (not just continental), easy access to main entrance and an elevator (not always a given in Greece), absolutely amazing location. I would stay for a month if I could. Super friendly staff. A great value for the money.

The seaside promenade, restaurants, and supermarkets are all just a few minutes walk away.

A nice reasonably spacious room and small view of the sea. Beds were comfortable with good quality linen. The hotel is modern and the garden and pool area was attractive. Breakfast and restaurant was OK. Great parking area. Wi-Fi worked well. Hotel is located well out of town, so you need a car. Fantastic access to the beach.
The room was spacious and beautiful. The overall ambience of the hotel was wonderful. The staff was kind and helpful. The breakfast was delivered in a beautiful basket which we were able to enjoy in our patio. A special thanks to Katerina who was amazing, informative and made our overall experience a 10/10.
The location was fantastic, close to bars and restaurants. The owners were very friendly and helpful and were always happy to give advice on what to do. Also the building was freshly painted and very clean. Internet worked well and the air conditioning was great. The hotel has a lift and bar if needed.

We like that all rooms have sea view and we got the best sea view in many trips we have had previously. The rooms was clean, hotel was clean and it is only less that min drive from the city center of Gythio.
Peaceful place to stay in Gythio. Super comfortable bed, the room was very clean and the host offered a small breakfast and figs from his garden!

Everything was perfect. The hotel is centrally located with very nice view to the sea. On the day of departure we took the ferry to which we could walk from the hotel.
