We got an upgrade which was great and made our stay even more comfortable.
It was an easy walk into the old town with many shops and good restaurants. We took a taxi back as it was hot . Very easy and reasonable.

The location was outstanding with a clear and easy walk into old town and located right across the street from the main beach with the hotel having their own daybeds (free if you bought a drink)! The staff was so helpful and they even celebrated my friends birthday, a surprise to both of us! We also really enjoyed the breakfast to include fresh squeezed orange and wonderful local honey and marmalade! We have a two bedroom suite with jacuzzi and it was amazing to sit out on the daybeds, listening to the waves and sipping the complementary wine provided by the hotel. Overall I highly recommend this hotel and thank you to the staff at Ammos for being a large part of our successful trip to Crete!

Rethymno was a lovely place to visit. The old town and port have a great atmosphere and are easy to walk around. We also enjoyed the visit to the Fortezza. Our host recommended a great restaurant behind the Rimondi Fountain.

As a working port town with a resort attached, there is a wide variety of options for dining, shopping and entertainment.
The old town has venetian architecture, the modern town that has grown around it has a wide array of shops and restaurants, and there are lots of beachfront businesses as you head along the seafront.
We found that restaurant quality is better a couple of streets in from the front, but there are lots of options in either case.

The old town is very picturesque, easily walkable, and very relaxed, lots of restaurants with outdoor dining, also lovely sitting by the port dining, long promenade along lovely beach. Less touristy than Chania. Located between Chania and Heraklion, makes it ideal for visiting both as well as archaeological sites etc.

Rethymno has the right mix of old town charm, modern hotels, a beach and a nice promenade. Plenty of places that serve authentic Greek food at very affordable prices, nice shopping opportunities, a pretty good beach - overall, I think Rethymno is better than Heraklion or Chania for a vacation stay.

Beautiful town with amazing little streets filled with shops restaurants and cafes. Beautiful old town. Everything within walking distance. Lovely beaches. Remember to try the gyros and the tasty Cretan graviera cheese. Market on Thursdays with local fresh produce.
Maria and her family are fantastic hosts! We received a warm welcome with lots of suggestions for beautiful Crete sights and traditional restaurants.
The apartments are good value for money and had everything we needed (kitchen, iron, air conditioning etc.). Mardinik apartments are 3-4 mins from the beach and around 15 min from the old town. There is also a small free public parking next to the hotel.
We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend the location!
Had a lovely stay. I arrived early and made use of the pool area and some much-needed shade while I waited for my room. The room was very nice with a balcony and a view of the sea and Fortezza. The breakfast was exceptional and is on the top floor of the hotel with indoor and outdoor seating options. The hotel is close enough to walk to and from the bus station and old town - an uphill climb back to the hotel but nice to be a little out of the heavy tourist area.
The hotel has a perfect location in the old town close to bars, restaurants and 15 minute walk to the main beach in Rethymno. The room was spotless and cleaned every day, fresh towels etc. Giannis went above and beyond to make us welcome and nothing was to much trouble for him. He also provided tea,coffee, sugar, Raki, wine, boiled eggs and his mother's beautiful home made cake, really nice touch. We were there for 10 days really enjoyed our stay.
Beautifully situated hotel buy the beach (just cross the street). A very long beach and pedestrianization street leading to the old town (15 minutes walk). Lots of other hotels, restaurants, shops along the way. The owner of the hotel is very helpful and available at anytime. Room is comfortable and clean with little kitchen. If I come to Rethymno again in the future I will definitely stay at this hotel
The location was great, close to everything, easy to find, just on the beach. The breakfast was awful though, we tried once and never went again. It would be good if the hotel could provide shuttle services to airports in Heraklion or Chania. There was no socket in the kitchenette so we had to drag the kettle and coffee maker to another-inconvenient location to use them
Very nice apartment, clean with very confortable beds. Amazing view in front of the sea. The welcome was very warm with for instance a bottle of wine. We were upgraded

The beach is well equipped with sunbeds available. 20 minutes walk to the old town. The restaurant Nostos below is delicious, one of our best in Crete.

Everything! The location is great, with a beautiful view of the sea from the balcony. Takes about 30 mins to walk into the old town, or you can drive in around 5 mins. 10 minute walk away from some lovely restaurants right on the beach.

Lovely location in the centre of old town, yet still quiet and peaceful. Very friendly staff. The hotel was every bit as beautiful in reality as it looked on the Web, which these days is a rarity. Highly recommended. Surrounded by a wide choice of restaurants offering good value for money. If we return to Crete we will definitely go back to this hotel.
We felt very welcomed at Ammos Suites. At our arrival the hotel manager offered us directly a raki, and even made me a little surprise for my birthday. The entire staff was very attentive and friendly. The room was beautiful, well designed and we had a wonderful view on the beach. We can highly recommend Ammos Suites and would choose it all over again.
This place is just the cutest hotel! It is a 15min walk to all restaurants and old town and well as the harbor. The owner of the hotel is the sweetest man and personally takes the time to greet all guest and take care of their needs. The rooms are very clean and modern and the breakfast has a variety of different food e.g meats, cheeses, bread, jam.

Location is perfect. It’s just a short walk from the Old town and a 10 min walk to the beach. We had a room with garden view, so nice and quiet! I don’t remember ever sleeping that well in a hotel!

The apartment was amazingly spacious and clean. Had all amenities and a wonderful balcony. Host was always available but didn’t really have any issues. Can easily walk to beach and old town Rethymno. Can’t imagine a better place to stay in all of Crete. We will be back !
