The village is beautiful, full of great places to eat, easy to walk around and with a lovely ambience.
Everyone we dealt with was super helpful and friendly and people always said hello to us.
The port (harbour) is a great place to sit and while away a few hours.

Spilies Beach is a must visit - about a 10 minute drive from Panormos.

Taverna Geronymous for really tasty and traditional Cretan food served with a smile.
Taverna Makis - an experience indeed - you go into the kitchen to choose your meal from what has been cooked that day. Very good food.
The bakery in the centre of the village serves scrumptious cakes and pastries and coffee to takeaway or sit outside to eat.

It's a very pretty unspoilt villages with a range of tavernas, shops and bakery. Also two beaches easy to access. Public transport not good, so best to take organised trips, there's a shop where you can book. Also a land train into the mountains.

Panormos is quite small town with two small beaches, lots of good restaurants, a great vineyard, Klados, in walking distance with vineyard tours and wine tasting.
The bus to Rethymno takes about 50 minutes and goes from the village every half an hour. Buy your ticket from local shops before you get on though. If you get the inter city bus from Rethymnoto /Heraklion it stops at Parnormo ,unfortunately it does not come into the village and will drop you on the hardshoulder of a busy dual carriage way to cross!

We wanted to chill out and relax on the beach, eat good food, not drive anywhere and just take everything easy and slow. Panormos was perfect for this.
An easy bus ride into Rethymnon if you fancy a much larger town, a winery that we walked to (just as well!) and a little train that took us into the hills. Wonderful :-)

I cannot recommend this property.
I cannot recommend this property. Turkey offers a far superior experience at similar cost and travelling time. I believe the reviews posted are not at all an accurate reflection of the actual experience.

Panormos is a small village, a quiet place where you can find the peace to recharge the batteries. The village is near a national main road, very simple to get to it, it has nice tavernas, especialy to have dinner on a quiet night - Fanari Taverna is a very nice place to eat, good food, medium prices.

We enjoyed our stay at this resort. The location is quite remote but this didn’t bother us as we had a rental car to get around. We stayed in a room with a private pool but there was also a lot of options for swimming with a number of pools and a beach area to choose from. We tried a few of the restaurants and the food was delicious. We also ate in the tavernas in the local village a short drive away and loved the authentic atmosphere here. The staff were the standout here, all very happy, friendly and helpful.
We loved everything at Aris villa. From the moment we met Chrisoula who gave us the keys and the moment we left, everything was perfect. The house is wonderful. The pool clean with sunbeds, towels, shower and toilets outside. The garden is huge with possibility of eating the fruits.
Chrisoula gave us many starters and even a gift when we left. She's adorable and so nice.
Even our dog was in paradise!
We will sure go back to Aris Villa if we come to Crete again.
Thanks again for everything !!!
The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating when I explained I was visiting for compassionate reasons. The food is like the luxury hotels you see in the west coast of America, fabulous. Would really recommend that if you are going to stay to book one of the more luxury rooms or villas for a breathtaking experience. If you’re going to do luxury in Cretan Greece do it here.
THE #FLOATINGBREAKFAST!
I really liked this hotel. Everyone is very friendly, polite and helpful. It's in a beautiful location, the building is elegant and beautiful. The beach is a few steps away, restaurants and taverns are also nearby. The room and bathroom are clean, cleaned every day. and the hotel's own courtyard is beautiful, full of flowers, sunbeds and the great pool. 10 out of 10. I recommend it! :)
Everything was top notch, all details taking care. It’s a dream house with a beautiful view and sunset. Perfect for 2 families, has a lot of privacy and house is big and comfortable. The host was amazing and very knowledgeable of the area. We are so glad we stay at paramus and not in rethymno, this is a very local greece town, much better than the busy and touristic rethymno.
Great place, interior was pretty new and stylish. Feeling cosy and confortable. The swimming pool was perfect regarding the temperature in Crete. You have nice beach and creek minutes from the apartment. Georgia gave us a warm welcome, fresh juices, beer and ice cream, she made our stay even more great, so helpful whenever we needed her. Couldn’t say enough great things.
The apartment was decent size with a seperate bedroom, dining area, and a sitting area. We were on the second floor and had water views out both the living room and the bedroom. Nice covered patio in the front. The location was incredible - walk to everything in the village including several restaurants. Easy parking (October!)
Andreas, Eleftheria and Miri were so kind and helpful with anything we needed.
Our hotel room was very clean and tidy and great value.
Location was great and they had a private parking lot where we could park our car.
AC worked well which was much needed in the heat.
Really nice balcony with a comfortable lounge set.
This is one of the most beautiful hotels that I have ever been to. The sea view is excellent, the pool and the facilities are really nice, the food is great. Everything is nice and clean. And the staff is super nice, especially Yannis from the reception and the staff from the bar and the restaurant!
It is a very nice hotel with good facilities. The a la carte restaurants were great, however the buffet restaurant was pretty average and not in line with what I would expect for a 5 star hotel. Location-wise, it's easy to get every where but you do need a car.
Pavlina and family were exceptional hosts sharing
important details about the area and making
great recommendations. the property is
beautiful exactly as per the photos.
Panormos was the perfect location for
exploring the island of Crete.
Beautiful property right in the center of the village. The owners pay very close attention to detail from the design of the hotel, to the breakfast setup and outside garden area. It has a very relaxed, comfortable vibe. Everything was perfect!
It was clean with its own charm ! Every one who was working there was nice, helpfull and professional. The hotel has everything a kid would wish so its perfect for people with kids. Foor variety is good and deliciouse 😋
Great location in heart of town. Nice size room for a single traveller. Large balcony with great views. Lucy was a great host, nice welcome gifts and helpful advice.
The Service was like in the Hotel. We got. extra towles for the pool or beach. The Equipment in the kitchen was sufficient for our needs. The way to the Beach is 1min.
Excellent location. Good sea view from almost all rooms. Delicious food. The hotel, its environment, amenities and quality of service was far above our expectations
Food is really good here. We didnt go all inclusive, just breakfast and dinner but it was excellent. This is a very nice hotel and its kept spotlessly clean.
Extremely friendly and professional staff. A big thank you to Julia who made us feel at home. The view is amazing and the town is wonderful. A must visit!
