My wife broke her toes and had an huge bone bruise on her other foot at Athens on the 2 day of our three week trip. It was her birthday. When we got there the cobble steps were too much. My wife was in tears she really wanted to stay at the castle. Alex met us and said it was no problem he would take care of it with booking.com and then helped us find another hotel. They are wonderful customer service is not 100% it is a 1000% and they really went out of their way to help us in a foreign country that we had never visited!!! I hope on our next trip we can stay here for what we were able to see the castle is not to be missed!!

We found the residents of Greece to be welcoming, kind, thoughtful, helpful and pleasant to talk to.
We stayed at one hotel booked by the biketours company and planned to stay a few extra days at Casa Felicia. Our check out was at 11am at one hotel and 3pm ck- in at the next hotel.
It was a long distance and our host arranged for her colleague came to take our luggage & it was in our next hotel, when we arrived. Such helpfulness was over the top and very much appreciated.
Our host carried fresh bottles of water to the castle our second morning. When we she had left a gift basket of wine, olive oil, bread, snacks and items in the refrigerator to enjoy. Again over the top and very appreciated by us.

Monemvasia is an amazing place to visit and stay a few nights. We stayed 3 night nights with our two children (14 and 16). Between thoroughly exploring the castle and nearby ruins and traveling to Simos Beach one day the trip length was perfect. Monemvasia Castle itself is small - if you like to see the sights and leave, one night is fine, but it is such a pleasant place to be that several nights was enjoyable. There are two places to swim (for good swimmers, not small children) that are fun and a good way to cool off and spend some afternoon hours. It felt like a lifetime experience to stay in such a special place.
Unique place, beautiful landscape, wonderful castle, places to go and anjoy like cafes, tavernas, bars bakeries and supermarkets avrything you need to have a great Summer time combined with nearby beautiful beaches and areas to visit.
Our room was in one of the old buildings within the walls of Monemvasia. It was charming and it felt like we were staying on a castle. We had a balcony overlooking the main square. Breakfast was very good. The hotel staff were all great. We loved staying in Monemvasia.
Theophano Art Hotel is beautifully appointed!! It was well positioned and quiet. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and staff were lovely. The owner gave us some history on Monemvasia which was interesting.
Location and parking at the hotel (next to the room) instead of on the access road of Monemvasia and hauling the luggage up the road and into the kastro.
