We were delighted on arrival to be told we had been upgraded from a mountain view room to one with a sea view! Entirely beyond the hotel's control was the fact that our visit was on a Bank Holiday weekend - so our original request for a quiet room would not have been possible as the hotel is directly opposite a children's play park and the 'partying' music went on till the small hours. It was a very spacious room with a small sofa, fridge, kettle and covered balcony. Hotel is spotlessly clean and in an excellent location on the seafront. A short walk across the publicise car park opposite hotel is a private section of beach for hotel guests' use with free sunbeds/parasols, and beach towels available from reception. Also has beach waiter services to order drinks etc - but unfortunately no loo. The jewel in the crown is the penthouse restaurant with seating indoors or out on the terrace. A fairly short menu but delicious food, and breakfast was very high quality too.

Stunning location and the property is beautiful. The host Stephen was welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. From providing lemons and ice for gin and tonics too advice re dinner and beach swims. We all 5 would happily return.

Loved the reception staff, genuinely welcoming, relaxed and smiling (special mention to Salva) The rooms are clean, modern, quiet and comfortable. There's a small spa/sauna space, perfect for a couple. Excellent massages available for 50€/hour. In the city center, lively in the evening. Cool beaches are minutes away if you have a car.

The Grand Hotel is such a nice property, very ‘boutiquey’ and in a great location. All of the staff were excellent, especially the reception girls. Breakfast is outstanding. A la carte and very nice.
