A family-run hotel with a nice front yard with lemon and orange trees where you have the breakfast every morning. Nikos' family. is very kind, polite, and helpful. Nikos is a soapmaker so the whole hotel smells nicely. We bought couple of his soaps to take home and got an additional as a present. Whatever you need this family will do its best to help or answer your questions.
The beach in Platanias is very nice but we spent most of our time on Mikro beach which is fantastic. Xrisi Akti tavern on the beach is a must.
Des Roses is a nice place for a quiet vacation. We are definitely coming back next year. This part of Pelion is a real hidden gem.

There is noy much to do in the village except some nice coffee huses and taverns but in a short drive we arrived at the most beautiful beaches.

The house is new, clean, fully equipped, huge fridge in the kitchen the air-conditioning worked very well, plus an air mixing fan on the sleeping entresol, wi-fi works perfectly. Perfect for two people, or for friends or a family of 4. The location is excellent. Small shop in the area and other restaurants available nearby, small harbour in sight A few short steps from the door you have the sea and a taverna. In addition, it has a well-kept yard and a parking space. The owners are very friendly excellent communication, This is my recommendation for spending a very lazy time away from the hustle and bustle, we will return there again.

Mikro is perfect for quite and relaxing holidays as there are 3 tavernas only in the village. The beach is long enough and clean with a combination of golden sand and pebbles. The short hike to the next village Platanias is wonderful with breathtaking views. From Platanias people can take a boat to Skiathos island for a day's excursion. Hiking to the mountain is really rewarding with stunning views of the Aegean. I would definitely visit again.
