Great breakfast and excellent cocktails. The guest house and surrounding areas were very pretty. We went for a brilliant boat trip around Skopelos (Mama Mia trip) through a boating company that is also owned by the host's family.
Panos and Nadia (hosts) gave us great advice about the area, helped us plan our trips and went above and beyond to make our trip enjoyable - we can not praise them enough.

The hotel location is not ideal for a person unable to walk uphill and lots of steps - the bus service from the main road is frequent about every 15 minutes into town or to other beach areas along the coast

It was quite a natural beach with not too many sunbeds and parasols. Much quieter down one end with a small beach bar and busier the other end with a good selection of bars and restaurants, It had a nice view.

Megali Ammos is just beyond Skiathos town and is where the beach starts. This means that the beach is very close and so is the town - it is really easy to walk into town in the evening, choose a bar, restaurant or wander round and explore, and then get back to the hotel easily. Then there is a nearby bus stop to catch a bus to take you along the road to all the other beaches on Skiathos. In my opinion, Megali Ammos is the best place to stay. But Aghia Paraskevi is the best beach!

Try the beach side restaurants for breakfast, as well as evening meals. Bus into Skiathos town (only €1.60 pp) and hundreds of restaurants to choose from. Do the Mama Mia trip - great fun. Al.so the open air cinema in Skiathos town - got to see Mama Mia - really worth while.
Use the little water taxis to take you to other beach on the island - a great way to see the coastline- and really cheap.
Go watch the planes land and take off - but take care, it can be dangerous if you stand too close.

Quiet "neighborhood" with some restaurants and cafe. 10' from the centre and 10' minutes from Vromolimnos, Koukounaries and the rest of the famous beaches of the island (we were using a bike). Megali ammos as a beach was ok but not the best compared to the others. We had dinner at Polykratis and the food was tasty.

Bus to beaches are excellent, we liked Troulos beach, also number 8 is very nice you get off bus and walk through Kassandra Bay hotel, once we left the beach we had a glass of wine there before getting the bus.
Skiathos town has so many restaurants spoilt for choice, we liked Hellinikon a lovely fish restaurant with live greek music.
If you like jewellery The Blue House art gallery on the front port is lovely.
I have sojourned at Villa Anna, Skiatos, for a week in July 2022. I feel lucky choosing this accomodation as it's right above the beautiful beach of Megali Ammos and its blue waters. The setting is magnificent: if you can, choose the room upstairs and you will not regret it as you'll have the chance to wake up and gaze on the southern coast of Skiatos in its entirety. If you feel constrained in your room, you can always take a walk in the grounds that surround the villa, covered in vines and flowers.
Villa Athena is an absolutely stunning property set on the southern slopes of Megali Ammos, Skiathos, giving incredible views across beautiful gardens and over the Aegean Sea. The hosts Peggy and Corinne we're delightful and couldn't have been more helpful throughout our stay. The accommodation was simple traditional Greek style, beautifully kept with everything anyone would need for their stay. The beach with tavernas, a bus stop and three local stores were all a short walk down a winding road.
The location of the hotel is amazing, especially if you are traveling with kids and want easy access to the beach. It's right in front of one of the most popular in Skiathos, megali ammos, and a 10 minute walk from Chora. The hotel also has a nice pool, although we didn't use it. The staff was super friendly/welcoming and made sure we had everything we need. The food at achinos restaurant was delicious, and the breakfast buffet offers a lot of options. Our room was very clean and comfortable.
Great location - can walk into Skiathos town for shopping and restaurants and then escape up the hill to the tranquility of the appartments. Loved Nicolas Pool Bar next door and preferred to go there rather than the busy beach. Stavros is a great host and collects from the airport. Handy supermarket at the bottom of the lane too.
We stayed for 2 weeks at Villa Alexis and had a perfect vacation there. The facility is close to Skiathos town and to nice sandy beaches, spotless clean, but on first place is the warm hospitality of Theodora, Andreas and Marius, who made us feel like part of the family. Thank you very much and hope to see you soon!

There's a beautful garden around the house where you can rest in the shade of trees.
The room have been well equipped with basic amenities and pretty clean.

This is a beautiful place to stay! The hosts, Stavros & Vasiliki are so gracious. Everything was clean & a great location - walking distance to restaurants or the beach. Beautiful view as well. We'll be back again & again! Between bus stops 4 & 5 if you want to get around further.
Location was amazing, 2 mins to the beach, supermarket and tavernas along the beachfront. 20 mins walk into town or a bus stop 3 mins walk.

The best choice!! Wonderful modern apartment with awesome sea view and all you need, the owner takes care and gives awesome homemade marmelade, so tasty!! Beach is just downthere, perfect!
