Everything was amazing! But what we especially liked was the fact that the pool had exactly the right amount of chlorine in it to be safe! Very kind staff.

So close to the waterfront and a beautiful secret garden a chance to relax in greenery and shade! Lots of lovely little touches throughout our stay from the wall mural in our room to a welcome drink on arrival!

Loutro is a very nice place to visit for a couple of days except if one wants to simply relax on the beach. Hikes to Fiona’s and Glyka nera are easily accessible. Good restaurants with local delicacies. Ate at Stratis and Ilios both reasonably priced

The relaxed athomsphere and the silence in Loutro after the day tourist have gone are so great. If you go to Loutro DO NOT forget to bring snorkeling equipment, the crystal clear water and living creatures are so nice. I had a walk/hike up to the ruins of the fortress above Loutro and that was a very interesting place to visit. PS. Please do not carve your name on the walls of the ruin, sadly so many tourist lack respect for historical heritage.

It’s a pretty and lively place, only accessible by boat. The town is a nice place to enjoy food and drink. We found Ilios to be the best restaurant and the bar on the far right (looking from the sea) to be an enjoyable place for a drink or two. The best things about the place, for us, were the immediate access to the E4 hiking route and the multiple boat trips to nearby beaches Glika Nera and Marmara. Glika Nera is fabulous if not too crowded. Try the home made Kolokithokeftedes (courgette balls) with a little Tzatziki at the taverna on the jetty. Yum!

I have been coming for years, it is a special and magical place. I love Sweetwater beach, the best stuffed tomatos ever. The local folk are welcoming and friendly, the sea clear and the whole place spotless. Lots of eateries and bars and mini markets to cater for all needs. You can access adjoining beaches and tiny villages via foot and ferry. the taxi Sfakia company provide superb airport pick ups and safe rides over the mountains to the ferry at Sfakia for Loutro.

Loutro is just beautiful and very peaceful especially in the evening. All the places we ate were good and there is a very good choice of tavernas. It's equally great for walkers and for relaxing, swimming, reading etc.
The ferry boat sail from Paleochora is really pleasant and picturesque. Loutro is easy to get around and there are little boats to take one to Marmara beach where there is amazing clear water for swimming and a cafe.
We loved it.

A unique and charming village, accessible by boat from Hora Sfakia, with several small and cosy beaches, plenty of nice taverns with local food, friendly people. Although there are many visitors during the day, it was peaceful and authentic. Prices were regular and I did not encounter any "tourist traps". Could have stayed for months...
Very friendly proprietors. Large airy room with a balcony overlooking the bay. Good sized modern bathroom. Conveniently situated above a well stocked mini market, owned by the proprietors, and near several restaurants. We particularly enjoyed Notos and the Blue House for lunch and dinner, and next door Kyma for breakfasts. It is situated at the far (quieter) side of Loutro Bay from the ferry terminal. However, easily accessible for people with moderate mobility.
Nice and quiet very clean very helpful especially Audreas the man in the window organising a taxi back to Chania. Also very friendly store halfway up to your accommodation.
Cute little hotel in the center of Loutro, everything is near: market, restaurants, beach.
Hosts are very lovely people, will make you fell comfortable
