Absolutely everything was great and we have no complaints. Lovely and helpful Hostess. Easy to find. Special parking spot just for this accommodation. We stayed on the rooftop on the third floor. There is no Lift but my partner is strong and fit and carried the suitcase up! The bedding was just like being at home. Very comfortable. We also liked the Couch to sit on in front of the TV but most of all, the view was fantastic! 360 degree view. Stunning in fact! It was exceptionally clean and very tastefully decorated. There are Dark curtains to block out the light so you can sleep comfortably and a lot of thought has gone into the decorating and furnishings. The room is not large and bathroom is small but we are used to this in Greece and if you want a huge bathroom, rather stay in a 5* Hotel... We loved the fact this it is very quiet and peaceful here but just a very short walk away from everything. There are many shops, Cafes, Restaurants, Patisseries, etcetera within 2 mins. walk away. The accommodation has a fully equipped kitchenette with all sorts of gadgets. There was a gift of Beer, Water, Fruit and snacks upon our arrival. We did not cook and Breakfast and at Anna Marie's Cafe 3 mins. walk away (very cheap and good coffee too) and ate Dinner at Sousouro on the first night and on the second night we found an exceptional small family run Taverna called "Η Μπαγιαντέρα" near Alpha Bank and Hondos Centre in Ormonios Street. It is down a small side alley and has lots of different coloured Umbrellas hanging up outside. Great food and lovely host. We found the people in Kavala to be very friendly indeed and Kavala has stolen our Hearts and we have to come back next year and hopefully stay at this same accommodation again. Efharisto Poli! Kavala is a great Aegean port town, not too little, not too big. It offers an amazing value for travelers since it has great bars, cafes and restaurants at a very reasonable price. It has something for everyone, history, culture, shopping, cuisine. There are some luxury places and some cheap (yet very good) places. In the summer also offers easily accessible beaches.

A great city!
A great city! The old town is beautiful and the views of the city are amazing! The center is easily walkable and the shops combine both big chains as well as small local shops, so everyone can find what they are looking for. There are a myriad of options for coffee or food. We had the best fish in Kavala!
Lastly, the beaches were by far the best in Northern Greece, with fine sand and crystal clear waters! All in all, it is definitely worth a visit!

A beautiful city with picturesque town planning.
A beautiful city with picturesque town planning. An interesting piece of history. Variety of shops, delicious food, fresh seafood. Fresh fruits and vegetables. Every Saturday there is a large market in the city with agricultural products of producers from the region.
Parking problems. Not enough parking spaces. There are only three paid parking lots in the central part. One of them is by the port, which is quite far from the city center.
Location is perfect!
The host is very kind and helpful.
He can guide you for the perfect local experience,so you can feel the spirit of Greece!
Owns a small coffee shop 2mins walk away.
I use to have my variety of coffee every morning with some locals that we had that special conversations.
Also Pavlos(the host) knows all the spots for the best taverns. There you can really experience the simplicity of the local taste.
I can keep going this way all day long.
I can’t say enough good things about this place. Private parking, location, decor, cleanliness- of course, all of those things are first rate. What really elevates this hotel is the staff- especially Maria and Vicky, who went above and beyond to help with a medical problem of my wife. They also made great effort to make sure we were comfortable and to give us pointers about restaurants and attractions in Kavala. Don’t bother staying anywhere else!
A perfectly beautiful location with a peaceful and inspiring view of Kavala city. The reception was so caring and kind, the hotel has the professionalism of a long running establishment, and a friendly hospitality of a family welcome. I will definitely stay here any chance I come to Kavala. The birds, fresh air and green and blue sea view in the morning made us feel connected to nature, while being so close to Kavala.
Everything went very well. We got free upgrate of our room and we got a sea view one for free. The staff helped us every time we needed to use the underground parking. We liked the breakfast a lot as there was variety of food and it was very delicious. We really enjoyed everything, the staff was very friendy, the hotel was very clean and the location is in the heart of the city center of Kavala.
Urban Bay is a new hotel near the old port of Kavala. The rooms are big and the beds are very comfortable. The personal is very friendly and provided us with tips for good restaurants in the near area. The are some additional compliments from the hotel - sweets, botle of wine and water. The swimming pool is very well heated and the area is very clean.
In an excellent location to reach the historical center of Kavala, all hotel areas are very nicely decorated with attention to the last detail, the comfortable rooms are spotlessly clean and offer many amenities. Breakfast is rich and all products are of high quality. The staff is very polite, and will solve any question you have.
Great place with more than great host! I’ve never been in so clean apartment, following all COVID measures. The rooms are not big but very well arranged with all equipment that you need during your stay and above! The location is great, just it’s noisy during the night, but it’s Greece :) so it’s part of the scene.
The location of the hotel is simply amazing. You are able to see the whole Kavala port and the old city. The breakfast gets server on the 7th floor of the hotel with a magnificent 360-degree view of the city. We also had a free room upgrade, which made the whole experience way better than we initially planned.
Although the outdated furniture, and showers in some rooms, take out the 5 star rating, the room is big enough, the beds are confy, and breakfast is ok.
Cleanliness and parking.
Good services.
A good 1 night stop in or out of Greece.
A very good small apartment in the middle of Kavala's old city. Has everything you need for a short stay. It's in a good location and you can tour the old city and the harbor from there. The host is very easy to reach and answers fast.
The hotel staff and facilities exceeded my expectations. I was truly satisfied with everything. I highly recommend this hotel for everyone who wants to stay in an beautiful and clean hotel with an incredible view of the city of Kavala.
Everything was realy good! The location is great, probably 10min walking distance to the marine aria with the restaurants and bars. The bed was realy comfortable.I will book this appartment if I search again where to sleep in Kavala.
Violet City Apartments were perfect. The rooms were amazing, super clean and very spacious. The suits were located in the center of Kavala, it was easy to walk everywhere. The hosts were super friendly and easy to reach.
The hotel was very new and the staff was really friendly. The hot tub and pool remaining open till 11pm was great. They also had a free bottle of local Rose & Kavala cookies for us in the room which was a nice touch.
Lovely place in a great location in the old town. Close to everything with super-helpful hosts. The climb up the hill might be hard for some, but it was a good way to burn off all the great Kavala food!
I like breakfast. Although the breakfast room was super crowded, hotel personal offered another location to have breakfast which was great. All personal were super helpful and sea view was great!
Everytime when i visit Kavala, i try to book a room from this hotel. Luckily i was lucky this time. Perfect location, very kind staff, super clean rooms. 10 out of 10
