The hotel was very well equipped and welcoming at all times of the day.
The staff were exceptional and the food to die for!
It is also very well located, with local shops and restaurants nearby or very close to transport links.
Really enjoyed the breakfast every morning, very good quantity and taste just amazing.
Had an amazing time at the little “events” put up by the staff, especially on the “Greek traditional” night with dances, live music and great food. Not just a retreat but also a place to socialise and have fun!

The hotel has been newly renovated and therefore everything was new and clean; the bed, sunloungers, towels etc. The bed was comfortable and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. The location is excellent as there are three pretty beaches within a five minute walk and the bus stop into Chania is about a two minute walk from the hotel. There were always enough sun loungers around the pool.

Kato Daratso was nice place, quiet one. Great for families with kids and for someone who seek peace by the sea. Good restaurants, nice shops. Great beaches with clear water. Not bad public transport, which might be improved in terms of frequency.

I travelled alone. I'd never been here before.
I travelled alone. I'd never been here before. I liked that it wasn't over commercialised. Weather was amazing (October) There was everything that was needed at this resort. I.e. supermarkets. Lots of tavernas/eating places to pick from, I.e Farmers House, Golden Bay Hotel restaurant with stunning sunset views. 4 local beaches. An excursions train.. Good, regular bus service into Chania (21) Was literally, end of season, so tourists were clearly abit sparce, but not any of the hospitality in the restaurants. All accessible to the locality of this resort. I was happy with my choice of resort.

Close enough to Chania that we could drive in 20 minutes, quiet area and family friendly. The nearby beaches make this a great location to stop and rest and plan the remaining trip around the island particularly if you are visiting the west coast and central Crete.

Great area close t the city.
Great area close t the city. A great mix if you want the beach not to crowded and small but at the same time close to the ngihtlife of the Chania.
The 3 beaches are close to each other and a bit different between each other, so each of them is kind of particular. The beach is sandy and the water is transparent. One of the best we found on the island.
Fresh and contemporary room and outside areas. The staff (all of them, front office, restaurants and bar staff, kitchen staff, SPA) are an asset to Domes Zeen Chania. All staff were fantastic and it would be unfair to mention specific names in case I forget any names.
Outstanding service in par with Four Seasons Hotels. Every meal we had, whether breakfast, lunch or dinner was good quality, breakfast especially had a very good selection. SPA services by Marina were outstanding, we went for 5 treatments in total during our stay.
Nice property with very comfortable setting for families. The staff is attentive and they are trying to make your vacation as smooth as possible. I enjoy the privacy of the room and the little backyard with a pool. very nice design and perfect for young kids. The hotel is about 20 mins from Chania airport and 1hr driving to the most famous beaches Elafonis Balos and Falasarnna beach. There are supermarkets with walking distance and a 35 mins walk can bring you to the Crete old town. I will definitely come again.
- Very friendly staff who did their best to accommodate us.
- Clean apartment with good air conditioning.
- Daily housekeeping with clean towels.
- Decent restaurant for a “hotel restaurant” with friendly waitstaff
- Nice pool area at Stellina Royal which, at the time of our stay, was not busy at all (unlike the other 2 pools at Stellina Village). This made for some very relaxing times in what felt like a private pool. Pool towels were provided.
The lady at reception was incredible! So friendly and so so helpful with organising transport to/from airport, organising tours from the hotel, helping us with transport/ buses and let us stay at the hotel all day after we checked out as our flight wasn’t till late.
Breakfast was always amazing, so much choice and I loved how it changed a little each day. Getting to try different greek pastries/ foods each morning was great!
The location is great, a few minutes away from the beach. There's also shops and some good restaurants near the hotel.
And not to forget that there are enough bus stops near the place, from where you can catch a public transport to the city of Chania. The beds were quite comfortable and the room was large enough with a big terrace. It has good quality furnishing, which was in good condition. The staff was kind and helpful.
Everything was beyond perfect
The Owners are very polite and professional
The location is the perfect spot next to many beaches supermarkets restaurants and many more
The bus stop is exactly Infront of the hotel
Easy to park just Infront of the hotel
Rooms are spacious clean spotless and comfortable
It's fully equipped with kitchen utensils and Towels and cleaning is provided
10/10
Would come again definitely
Thanks
Great location, close to supermarkets, beaches and bus stop for Chania.
Lovely pool area, some shade from the many olive trees.
Staff helpful and friendly.
Apartment and kitchen facilities good.
Effective air conditioning and a safe in room.
Quiet and peaceful at night.
Cleaned regularly, fresh sheets and towels.
Our second visit to Elea and our fourth to the Kato Daratso area
Excellent location to explore Chania! The hotel is quite new and the facilities are excellent. The rooms are well kept and very clean. Parking near to the hotel was readily available. The staff is very friendly! From reception to departure, everything was perfectly arranged.I would definitely stay there again during my next trip to Crete! Thank you!
wonderful manager, very helpful. quiet location yet very near beach, restaurants and shops. Great location to explore inland Crete and the big mountains. nearby bus rus frequently into Chania and the lovely old town is a short distance walk from main square. great choice for small personal feeling hotel. large rooms, comfy bed.
The hotel is very nice, very clean in an excellent location. The family that owns the hotel is very friendly. It is well deserved by the Chania bus every 15 or 20 minutes. There are 2 supermarkets at a short distance. This will be our favorite destination when we come to Crete.
The comfort of the apartment ( it was very clean and it smelt amazing), the tranquility of the resort, the rich and delicious breakfast, as well as the very polite and kind staff made our vacation in Crete a memorable one!
P.S. Thank you Ramona for all you kindness and guidance!
Everything from the warmth of the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms and the breakfast each morning was excellent. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice and highly recommend the hotel. We will certainly stay again on our next visit to Chania.
The property was spacious and clean with everything we needed and a great balcony with a lovely view. The pool is also great to relax in with a drink and snacks from the hotel bar. Everybody including the staff is kind and friendly.
Beautiful property about 15 min drive away from Old Town Chania. Staff was very hospitable. Rooms were clean and serviced 2x daily. We had the Wellness Suite in the “Quiet Area” of the hotel and it was nice.
It was amazing to stay in this hotel. We got free upgrade and it was feeling like we are in our aunt’s house.
I will definitely recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a comfort stay.
Beautiful hotel and location - directly on the beach. Very comfortable room and bed. Helpful and sincere staff. Hotel restaurant service was very good along with the food!
