I travelled alone. I'd never been here before. I liked that it wasn't over commercialised. Weather was amazing (October) There was everything that was needed at this resort. I.e. supermarkets. Lots of tavernas/eating places to pick from, I.e Farmers House, Golden Bay Hotel restaurant with stunning sunset views. 4 local beaches. An excursions train.. Good, regular bus service into Chania (21) Was literally, end of season, so tourists were clearly abit sparce, but not any of the hospitality in the restaurants. All accessible to the locality of this resort. I was happy with my choice of resort.

Close enough to Chania that we could drive in 20 minutes, quiet area and family friendly. The nearby beaches make this a great location to stop and rest and plan the remaining trip around the island particularly if you are visiting the west coast and central Crete.

Great area close t the city.
Great area close t the city. A great mix if you want the beach not to crowded and small but at the same time close to the ngihtlife of the Chania.
The 3 beaches are close to each other and a bit different between each other, so each of them is kind of particular. The beach is sandy and the water is transparent. One of the best we found on the island.

The various beaches are all very clean with enough space for those who don’t want a sun bed. The surrounding area is beautiful and it’s a 4Km walk along the coast to Chania. Busses also run frequently into town.
We had a wonderful stay at golden bay. The hotel has a lovely feel to it and an amazing location right on a beach. We travelling with a toddler and it was a lovely calm bay for him and a few options in close walking distance if it was windy. The inside restaurant was lovely with good value breakfast available. We caught the bus into town a few nights and hired a car from opposite the hotel. Crete in October was a real delight and we were so happy with everything at this hotel
The location is good. 10 min walk to 2 beaches, 2 min to the bus stop to Chania. Renting a car helped us to see a lot more from Crete and Rena’s place was on a perfect spot to start our day trips. Rena and her father helped us to settle down, gave us good advice. They also provided us with a lot of treats, including raki.
Wonderful appartment! Clean, spacious, modern. George is friendly, generous with his guests and always willing to assist and counsel. A perfect place from which to explore Chania and the West of Crete. The area has restaurants and facilities close by for those days/nights in which one wishes to stay in the area.
The location is perfect. Nice beaches a few minutes away by foot from the hotel. Perfect location to explore the west part of the island too. Nice restaurants/tabernas. We highly recommend "La Pergola".
The hotel is also off road which is a huge advantage. It is quiet and relaxing there.
Friendly staff.
Very well located in a calm spot, a few steps from the beach. The building looks new, everything sparkling clean, and a pool that is a clever touch for an after day by the sea. And the everyone in the staff team is very welcoming, always smiling and helpful. Fantastic stay in Crete!
Amazing hotel, the architecture, the staff, the breakfast !! a real luxury experience, reasonably priced, especially during low season! A bit outside of Chania though, better to have a car, or to be willing to pay for taxi. Staff is incredible with children,
There is absolutely nothing to complain about - more the absolute opposite - it was a fantastic stay at a great hotel with amazing staff. Food, beverages (welcome drink), room, location, staff, service, cleanliness - all perfect. Keep it going!
Nice and clean rooms, lovely staff, perfect location with bus stop, super markets, restaurants and bakeries next to it. There are 3 nice beaches within a 5-10 minutes easy walk from the hotel. We had a great stay at this hotel!
The apartment was great! we didn’t live the hotel a lot, because we were all the time around Crete, but the position was nice, the apartment clean and warming, and the staff was so great and welcoming! I loved this place
Beautiful property about 15 min drive away from Old Town Chania. Staff was very hospitable. Rooms were clean and serviced 2x daily. We had the Wellness Suite in the “Quiet Area” of the hotel and it was nice.
Everything was perfect. Katerina and her husband are so nice and helpful. Katerina’s cooking is delicious. Room was nice and clean. We enjoyed the pool.
We would definitely go back if we go to Crete again!
This boutique hotel and its grounds are absolutely beautiful. Location is perfect. 10 min away from main attractions yet in a very quiet and relaxing area. Clean, modern and accommodating.
Beautiful modern hotel and very kind front desk staff. Great location if you rent a car. Very clean and in close proximity to Theodosi, our favorite restaurant in Crete.
