These family ran apartments were just brilliant with a beach bar at the end of the garden where morning breakfast was served. We are not breakfast people so only went to breakfast once but was absolutely lovely. Beach outside the beach bar was a great place to relax. We found the whole week's stay very relaxing and our hosts could not have been more helpful and friendly, with their young son Achillies providing the daily entertainment. Would definitely stay here again.

Slightly late writing this review! We stayed for 4 nights in August and were worried it may be really busy as it was the school holidays (not a time we would normally choose to travel as our children are grown up now!), but we needn't have done, the pool was quiet every afternoon and the sunbeds were very comfy (pool towels are provided). Sophia was so nice, declaring 'wine time' each afternoon and just generally being really lovely! The rooms were very comfy and large, with toiletries included, and a little fridge. There's a little balcony where you could watch the sunrise. It's a 10 - 15 min walk to the restaurants on the seafront, although there were also a few a bit nearer. It's a great location for exploring the eastern side of Kefalonia, and we found some lovely little secluded bays each day to escape the busy areas! All in all we loved it here, and would definitely recommend the apartments.

The upgraded room was spacious and very clean. Good powerful shower and a very comfortable bed. The pool area was beautifully clean and had plenty of sunbeds for the guests. Only 10 minute walk to plenty of local tavernas.
Presented with a gift on check out which was very thoughtful and was excellent quality.

When we arrived in Katelios we thought we had hit the...
When we arrived in Katelios we thought we had hit the jackpot with location, and the level of quiet was just unheard of. We wondered where everyone was... The little strip of around 10 bars and cafes and restaurants were all virtually empty when we got there around 2pm.
It livened up a little in the evening but nowhere was particularly rammed. Why we wondered?! Prices are consistent throughout the places but the best all round for breakfast was the one in the middle next to Nemesis with the egg chair hanging down. It has bamboo umbrellas and for €6 the yoghurt fruitbowl is hard to beat.
Katelios itself is glorious, but unless you really do love lounging on the beach all day, you need a car to get out and about. We spent 6 full days here and pleased we had a car for 2 and went on a day boat trip on one of the days. There is not much to do, so you need to get out somehow.
I would 100% recommend it to friends and family, but with the caveat not to expect much going on, its a very simple and relaxing place, no parties, no noise, average age 50+ and couples.
Get a car for a few days, explore and I would say a week is ABSOLUTELY enough time. We did 6 days including a change day and we went to Argostoli for 4 days, I welcomed the change as I was getting a bit bored, but I'm not a lounging sort.

Katelios is a very quiet, relaxed and friendly place. The swimming is safe and there are sunbeds and beach umbrellas. There are a number of restaurants along the sea front so you are spoilt for choice - one for each day of the week! Would highly recommend it.

A very peaceful location close to the town of Katelios where there are many bars and restaurants.
The Hotel only has five rooms so plenty of space for everyone around the large pool.
This is perfect for a relaxing holiday however if you want to travel around the island it is best to hire a car.
Because of the location journey times to other towns were quite long ie it would take 2 hours to get to Fiskado in the north of the island

Katelios is a small fishing village.
Katelios is a small fishing village. We got a taxi from the airport to our accommodation for 50 Euro. There are a couple of small supermarkets, and plenty of restaurants and bars. We had previously stayed in katelios, but our accomodation was a long walk to the beach. This year we stayed in The Medusa, which is just a few steps to the beach and restaurants. If you want somewhere quiet to relax and unwind Katelios would be ideal. If you want the shops there is a bus at 11am to Skala, it returns at 16.00pm. Over the two years we have stayed in Katelios we have found all the restaurants have served good food and very friendly.

Love the resort and being so close to the beach. The taxi journey can be a bit hair raising! Friendly people and everything is very compact so not a lot of walking needed. Every taverna serves delicious food and I can't fault any of them.
It is a very nice place to stay. The hotel is very well maintained and clean. The bed was very confortable. The room was spacious and well equiped. Chris, the owner, was a very nice host - very kind, helpful and professional. I recommend this hotel if you visit Kefalonia. And even Katelios is indeed a bit far from the main attractions on the island, we really enjoyed our rides to various places. For us, Aligis will certainly be a an option on our next visit to this beautiful island
Absolutely perfect location if you enjoy katelious, very basic but in a authentic, romantic way,spotlessly clean,extremely comfortable beds,shower pressure was great,The owners and staff are lovely kind people and we felt very looked after and appreciated, we have stayed in all the 5 star hotels in katelious but would always now choose dreams,we are planning 4 weeks there next and 100% know we will be looked after,can not praise them enough.
A piece of paradise in a stunning and peaceful location. Nothing was too much for our host who made us feel like one of the family immediately. Only five minutes by car from Katelios with its beautiful Sandy beach and tavernas. The studio was cleaned daily and fresh sheets and towels changed regularly. We stayed in 5 places over the 3 weeks and this was by far the best and our favourite!

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very very clean and tidy and everything was as it should be. The pool is big . The food was superb ( definitely try the steak)! Will definitely return next summer!
Loved the location, 10min walk to the beach, the apartment is lovely and has a great patio and grassy area with a view of the mountain. They have installed dark shutters and have air con and kitchen with utensils.

Small gem at a walkable distance from the tiny village of Katelios, perfect as a base to visit the southern half of the Island, that is way more relaxing and peaceful
even in the middle of the summer season. Mario and his family are kind, friendly and always willing to help.
The host Eleni was lovely and beyond helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was spacious and clean in a really peaceful countryside location but only a 5 minute walk to the beach and tavernas. We've stayed in many rooms in Katelios and this is now our favourite.
The hotel looks nice from the outside and the pool is great. I enjoyed sitting outside. Staff at the bar was welcoming and made great cocktails. I also appreciate the COVID protocol in place. Breakfast was standard, nothing spectacular.
