Great place, great hosts! The beach is 50 meters away, you get free sunbeds and umbrellas from the hosts, the beach is sandy and the sea is really shallow, just perfect for kids. The food in the hotels is also very good - grilled octopus, shrimps, pizzas, whatever you want! The pool is a gem, the apartment was very big with great terrace. 5-10 minitues on foot and you get the village tavernas and amusments for the kids. And 5-10 minutes by car you ger different beaches with beach bars and restaurants. More than perfect!

Location is perfect. There is clear view toward the see. The beach is just in 200 m. The beds are comfortable and big enough. The upper floor is excellent.

Gerakini is a picturesque mix of old houses, charming and taken care of and new villas, apartments. We liked to have walks in the evening, we had great food, either at Cook Art Estelle or at other nice little places in the town. Gerakini is half an hour away from Sithonia and Kassandra and this is ok if you want to visit places close to Gerakini.

Gerakini is a village not much urbanized. One supermarket, one giro store, a couple restorants, Marko Polo was the best. The beach is nice, but the water is full of jellyfish and sea grass, not clear at all. I dont recomend it for young parents with kids, or people who like a lot of things to do. No park or any facilities for kids. Pretty much boring, nothing to do. And when you cant swim also.....because of jellyfish....awful.

It is a small village and we were there at the end of the season, but it is a good place for relaxation, vacation with small kids or a dog. There are not many places to walk around in the village, but only a few kilometers away there are bigger villages with more interesting things to see.

Gerakini is a small village and in September is very quiet. There is no a lot of people there, despite that the water is hot. The beach is sandy, there is stones on the bottom in the water, but if you go trough, the bottom is sandy. Taverns and beach bars are still working in Sept.

You can find here many taverns. The food was very good at all the restaurants we tried, and the staff was extremely friendly. I would particularly recommend Mouragio Tavern - the food is great.
Gerakini is especially recommended for families with children.

Nice and calm beach town with that has all you need for your calm vacantion on the shore. Location of the town is perfect if you decide to visit the nearby resorts and famous beaches. Not that many tavernas around though as the place might get crowded at dinner time and you might end up waiting for a table from time to time. The beach is nothing special, recommend you visit the surrounding resorts - nice beaches available within 20-30 min drive.
The location, everything about the facilities and the Elia Restaurant are exceptionally good! Nothing missing at the house including Nespresso machine, refrigerator, corkscrew, etc. The receptionist lady Teresa has been very helpful and she is a very nice host. She kindly provided good recommendations for the supermarket and her offerings were excellent.
It was my second time here, previous one with my friends and this one with my husband and my parents. All of us were really pleased with everything. This is our place to stay in Halkidiki.
The accommodation is very beautiful. It is divided in small houses surrounded by olive trees where you can park your car in the shadows. The staff is great. They gave us a free upgrade and we were in a bigger room. The rooms are renovated and very beautiful especially for greek standards. The breakfast was great. You can watch the sunset from the restaurant at the pool. The location is right on the main road to Sithonia. If you want to access the city by walking there is a tunnel in front of the hotel which gets you directly to the city.
Everything was perfect, clean, safe, cosy, lovely….
Owner was very engage to help me with car issue - he went with me several times to tire shop to help me to fix the problem with tire. We needed to go to next town. They respond fast and we get all advise and recommendations what to see and visit in and near Gerakini.
Once again thank you very much for hospitality if we would decide to come again in Gerakini for sure we would stay in Gmare.
It's a nicely rennovated hotel from the '80s. The rooms are spacious, the kitchen is well equipped, the beds are confy. We liked our seview room very much - I think we wouldn't be so happy with a garden view room.
The pool and the pool bar is great, and the sandy beach is just a few steps away. The owners are really nice people, they are always on site, they sit down and chat, eat, drink around you.
Small family run hotel, super clean room and other facilities. Very kind hosts and also the employees. We didn't have a breakfast, so I couldn't write anything about its quality, but we had a lunch in the restaurant on a la card basis and everything we ordered was delicious and very fresh. An extra was free umbrella and two sunbeds on the beach for the guest of the hotel. We'll come again for sure.
The beach is in front of the hotel, sunbeds were included in the price, breakfast is great, the rooms are cleaned and towels are changed every day. The owners, Manolas and Serafim who are brothers, are very hospitable and helpful and continue to write the success story that has lasted for more than 30 years started by their parents. Measures for protection against KOVID 19 at a high level.
Captain Nikos is a nice host, he speaks English and answers to the questions. The accommodation is very near to the beach, just a minutes away, and the view is superb. On the beach there are many free beach chairs for lying, but not enough umbrellas, so it's probably best to have your own. Gerakini is a quiet place with not many shops or places to go, but it is perfect for families.
Location, room with the beach view, comfortable bed, nearby access to supermarkets and nce garden. They clean the rooms everyday and change the sheets every 3rd day, so cleanliness is great The property is right front of Gerakinis beach. It is a shallow, non-commercial and a calm beach. Staying here, we could easily commute to other villages and beaches. Highly recommended:)

It's a perfect place to relax. The hotel is beautiful, very clean, and with wonderful personnel. The beach is just a 2-minute walk: it is clean and well-kept, water is crystal clear. The food was great with a variety of dishes and different options every day - you never get bored with it. The Family room has an amazing view of the sea - perfect for watching sunsets.
We are very satisfied. The apartments are on a property that overlooks the beach, sunbeds are available. We enjoyed the shade of olive trees and wonderful hospitality. There were many choices for breakfast, even more than in some better hotels. We must also praise the owners and staff, very pleasant people. We will definitely visit Maistrali again!
