The view from the balcony was priceless. We could sit there all day long and watch the passing big and smaller boats and ferries. The sea taxis were 50 steps from our front door, which one could take across the water to Poros, for nice restaurants and shopping. The service at front desk was real friendly, and our room cleaned every day.

The studio was lovely, very clean and nicely renovated. It was equipped with oven, coffee machine, dishes etc, so we could cook a bit. Our host left some biscuits and snacks for us to have for breakfast. He was very quick to reply to my messages and very friendly. The whole house is charming. We had a lovely room at the front of the Hotel with a sea view. The room was traditional and beautifully decorated and presented, with rustic wooden shutters. It had all modern facilities that we needed. The Hotel Manager was very welcoming and helpful when we arrived, providing information and a map of Poros. He also stored our luggage the following day, as we had a late ferry, and offered us shower and toilet facilities if we needed it when picking up our luggage. Thank you Sir.

Galatas is a place with a lot of personality, not very influenced by tourists, and very good Tavern prices. Although Galatas stands in front of a touristic island like Poros, separated from it by a sea channel of only 500 metres, it has kept its local character, it's interesting and intriguing. Galatas is at only a taxi boat journey of 5 mins away from Poros, if you want to enjoy the charm and beauty of this island which offers different things. They are 2 very different worlds although both very interesting.
Don't miss Helenis Tavern on the main road at the front and corner with Artemidos Street. Another very recommendable tavern is Babis, in front of the Car ferry boat.
Everything was great. It's really your home away from home. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a clean and modern place in the area. It's a bit further from the little town of Galatas, you definitely need a car and there are a lot of stairs so this might be a problem for people with disabilities or elderly. But because of it's location you are awarded with a breathtaking view.
Very comfortable apartment not far from Galatas city located in olive orchard. Ideal location to relax and to explore the region with your own car. The host Catherine is very open and friendlily and helpful with anything you may need. Highly recommended.
Lovely views from the balcony to Poros. Very quiet as its approximately a 15 minute walk into Galatas. Lovely comfortable room and nice hosts. Easy to park even when the driveway was full.
