WE LOVED ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING!
Location was perfect, the apartment was gorgeous and spotlessly clean and the Hostess was incredibly hospitable. She went above and beyond to make our stay the beautiful time that it was.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Will definitely be back in the future
From October to March this little hamlet rather than village...
From October to March this little hamlet rather than village shuts down; no bars or restaurants are open. The little shop or mini market is open randomly. If you are coming here in the off season, have a car so you can get to the next town or if you don’t bring water, milk, alcohol or food so you’re all set. During the summer I’m sure it’s a paradise; we just went on last regular ferry of the year. It’s quiet, beautiful at night and has gorgeous clear water. If you wanna go somewhere and just chill, I recommend.

Dhiakofti is great if you want to have a great beach at walking distance but it's far from Chora or anything else you might want to see - except for Avlemonas which is my favourite place on the island. There are a couple of taverns there but we didn't sit there so can't really recommend them.

Diakofri is the port of the island of Kythera.
Diakofri is the port of the island of Kythera. It’s a place away from Chora, main town of Kythera. It is place for relaxation with limited options for food, bars etc. Nevertheless it is close to Avlemonas which is a very beautiful and more lively place.

Diakofti is clean, sandy beach with warm turquoise blue water. Even if it's windy and the waves are high at other beaches, you can always swim at Diakofti. There is a cafe on the beach that serves excellent meals. One of the best tavernas in Kythira is also located there. We recommend it for dinner.

Location was ideal. Family run hotel - a second home rather than a hotel! Very clean & modern. Quality of breakfast & choices very good. Very friendly staff who provided everything required. Will be returning for long later in the year and again next year!!

Diakofti is quiet in October, and you need a car to travel...
Diakofti is quiet in October, and you need a car to travel to any tavernas still open. We found 2 tavernas open, Skandeia near Paleopoli, and a fish restaurant in Avelemonas which was very good indeed.
However, the sandy beach at Diakofti is lovely, as is the sea. Beware of a particular small fish though - white bream I think they are. These fish can nip your legs and ankles! The ferry from Neapoli was very punctual and easy to travel on, best to order tickets in advance though, which you can do on-line.
This hotel was the best I've experienced in 20 years of vacationing in Greece. The hotel owners, their daughter and Katharina are the nicest and friendliest people I have ever met in hotels. I even got dinner from the house because the tavern was overcrowded and they invited me for a grilled fish too. I have never experienced greater hospitality in greece. Breakfast is very good, there is something for every taste and with homemade sweets from the lady (Athanasia) of the hotel.
I can recommend this hotel best.
The owner is the sweetest person, very helpful and kind. Amazing breakfast with buffet both with Greek and continental food + freshly cooked products (delicious scrambled eggs). Very much appreciated some presents in our fridge and at the end of the stay, especially the typical products from the island. Very clean and well decorated room, super comfy shower with a good selection of bath products. I suggest Sirene Villas to anyone visiting Kythira, I loved it!! Thank you!
This is a perfect hotel! It's tastefully appointed with quality furnishing and amenities, the breakfast is very generous, the location is a terrific point of departure to explore the island. The hotel staff and owners are exceptionally hospitable, kind and professional. This is my first time to Kythira and I knew shortly after I arrived that it wouldn't be my last. I'm thrilled to discover Sirene Villas because I'm sure I'll be back!
The room was fantastic. The staff was very friendly, and the hotel is located very close to a few small beaches which are ideal for swimming, as well as the main port. Also, the breakfast, which had several options, was delicious, and could be delivered at a time of your choosing in the morning.
One of the best parts of the hotel was the balcony, which overlooked the sea. The view was breathtaking.
I really enjoyed my time in Diakofti, and this place was just perfect. It is very well positioned slightly up the hill so you have a very nice view even from the ground floor. The apartament is fitted with everything you might need, fridge, oven, stove, and all the equipment. You also find oil, salt, coffee, and tea plus honey and crackers. Air conditioning working very well, much needed.
Boutique small hotel with excellent location to the beach and to the port.Beautiful and modern decorated room, quiet ,clean. Terrace is with nice view to the port of Diakofti. The hosts were very kind, polite and helpful, who warm welcome you with welcome fresh drinks and who are precise to small details. Fantastic breakfast with homemade dishes which you can eat outside at the green yard.
Adorable hotel in such a quiet little town / village. the owners were so friendly and happy all the time. the homemade raki was the best I’ve ever had and i don’t like raki per se. I had the suite room which was very spacious with a great view. the pool area was lovely. the lobby breakfast area felt incredibly spacious and open, a lovely way to start the day!
One of the best places I’ve stayed in Greece and certainly one of the friendliest. Diakofti, while being a fairly small village, definitely worked as an excellent hub for me with one of the best beaches on the island only a 2 minute walk away from the hotel.
very nice place with garden in Diakofti - in my opinion village with the best beach on the Kithira. Very close to everything you need, extremely helpful hosts (Andreas will make you a presentation about what to do on the Island) and nice rooms with kitchen
A very nice family-run apartment hotel in Diakófti, Kythera. There is a wonderful view from the balcony and the kitchenette is well-equipped. The accommodiation is serviced every day. The staff was helpful and the cleaning was spot on.
We are returning guests, from California, and loved both visits. Family-owned, the customer service is exceptionally sweet and attentive. Our son’s favorite part is the breakfast. So good! Highly recommend this hotel. We’ll be back!
amazing location ,clean rooms and the owner sophia is very friendly and helpful with us!!! totally recomended for other travellers !!! easy acesss to diakofti beach and to a mini market ! we will be back again 🙂
The location in Diakofti is excellent, close to the beach. Furthermore, the sweetwater pool and the large, clean apartment enhance the experience. Martha is a lovely host who takes great care of her guests.
The hotel has great views of diakofti port. Lena went ahead and beyond to make us feel welcomed and accommodated every need. The hotel was also sparkling clean.
Lovely boutique hotel , family run, the hosts were exceptionally helpful , friendly, professional and nice . Excellent breakfast .
We are definitely going back
Great position in Diakofti, great view. Very nice owners, helpful and talkative. The room was big, clean, with kitchen. Value for money in this island.
