Aegina Town is a vibrant place full of cafes, restaurants, clothing and tourist shops. There are fruit sellers beside the marina selling the most delicious fresh fruit. It’s easy to visit the rest of the island using the local buses which cost only 2 Euros. A day trip to Ag Marina is highly recommended if you like swimming and sunbathing. The last group of beach umbrellas are free to use. You can buy drinks and food from the restaurant behind. They do beach service. Perdika is a nice day trip, especially if you go to Moni Island as well.
The Temple of Aphaia and Palachora are easily accessed by the local bus service. I enjoyed eating at Dromaki, where I had melt in your mouth, slow cooked lamb.

Aegina is a very pretty town with ferries coming and going all day, every day. Its only 40 mins from Piraeus, but a world away from the city. I visited in off season - November - but the weather was lovely at 23*C. There are plenty of places to eat along the waterfront, and it is an easy place to explore by walking, bus or taxi. You can hire bikes too just opposite the port. I visited the ruins & museum at the end of town; and travelled to other places on the island including the Temple of Aphaia, Agin Marina, and Paliachora. The people are very friendly. I could have easily stayed longer!

I Have grown up in Aegina seen it change and expand but it still keep a charm about it ,where there used to be little cafes bakeries and all sundries are now well expanded bars. The back street now have a myriad of shops and all you need provision wise, the old fish market survives and is renowned for its fresh fish and restaurants serving the same all the way back to Athens .
It gets now very busy at the weekend as the Atheans flood back from the city .the town prides itself on its impressive ancient history and modern cultural endeavours galleries and festivals . There are not the boys on tour nonsense beer bellies rowdy 'go on down it Dave' ! of other big islands which i have also lived on in Greece. the larger groups are made of the sailing fraternity so you may get a group of 10 Dutch, German or English but they have a different and more respectful etiquette, the bars are very much for Greeks of all ages with the tourist filling the other seats in harmony . it can be noisy as the ferries bring in and take out persons and trade all day ,but it settles again as the ships leave .

A higgledy piggledy jumble of small streets with both traditional and modern shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. Plenty of scope to wander, too small to get lost in. Pistachios for sale everywhere: ultimately I chose to get mine from Mourtzis at P. Irioti 57, and am very happy I did. Eating: for simple, reasonably priced, fresh and delicious Greek food, and excellent, friendly service I would recommend O ΤΣΙΑΣ (Tsias) along the waterfront. Don't miss the Archeological Museum - it's absolutely fascinating.
Beautiful guesthouse in the centre of aegina town located a short walking distance from the restaurants and bars as well as the beach and archaeological site of colonna.
I stayed here for two nights in januari and I had a wonderful stay. The room is quite spacious and has an authentic touch to it. Also, the breakfast was really nice with lots of homemade cake by the host :)
All in all, I would definitely recommend this place either to couples or solo travelers!
A small but adequately managed hotel. Nice staff (reasonable English communication). Amazing sea view from our room, great location of the hotel, many restaurants and a nice beach nearby, close to public transportation, buses, small boats, taxis, that take you all over the island at a reasonable price. Excellent wifi (internet) service, good size room, air condition and tv that work. Great value overall.
The host was incredibly hospitable, ensuring that every detail was taken care of and making me feel right at home. The location was perfect, offering easy access Aegina Town and near by beach by foot. The apartment exceeded all my expectations. It was a beautifully decorated space that felt both cozy and luxurious. The amenities were top-notch, providing everything I needed for a comfortable stay.
The place was very nice, cozy and welcoming. There was a cute balcony which we enjoyed a lot. The staff was very friendly and kept asking us if we needed anything. The place was extremely clean, they kept changing the towels and cleaning the room, although we told them it was not necessary to do this daily. The location was very close to the city center, the port and the beach. We loved it!
Our quick stay in Aegina was amazing, much thanks to Ulrika Hotel and the staff! A perfect location in Aegina town. Such accommodating and friendly people, and such a lovely family business 💓 We got a room upgrade for free to a garden view and balcony. We also got some great trips and a lot of good vibes. Thank you so so much!! We will be coming back!
The view was so lovely. The gardens are peaceful. It's in a quiet part of town that seems far from the center, but actually is only a ten minute walk from the port and the restaurants. Liana (I think that's her name) went above and beyond to arrange for food and drinks in our room from an outside restaurant. I wished I had more time to be there.
The house is conveniently located in town near historic ruins, the city center and the ferry! The hostess Reanna cooks home-made pastries every morning along with fresh squeezed juice! Reanna was so kind and welcoming! it is more like a home than a hotel. We enjoyed a view of the ocean from our balcony and all the beauty of Aegina.
Lovely little hotel with an ocean view and balcony to enjoy it from. Great location, within a five minute walk from ferry and town. Hosts, the family who owns Ulrika, were very welcoming. Joan is and Erik went out of their way to cooperate with our adult children's surprise anniversary gifts!
The house is perfect for longer stays, it has fully equiped kitchen and great sitting areas inside and outside. Also is is very quite and sea is a minutes walk away. Bare in mind that car comes in handy (there is parking space), since the house is 15min walk from Aegina town and beaches.
Lovely hotel, clean and with very good location, near to the centre (restaurants, beach, shops, port, bus station) . Very nice and friendly staff.
Tasty breakfast.
We would like to come again next year.
Thank you!
The hotel is located at the top of the hill, just follow the shoreline from the port get there. Sea views, cool and a short walk down to the sea. The staff is lovely and helpful. Has everything you need.
- Easy access from the island center and port.
- Stunning garden and breakfast in the middle of the garden, which is super specialty of this hotel.
- clean and comfy room
- super friendly staff
The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. The pool was nice and beach was lovely and just 2 minutes walk away. It was only a short walk (10 minutes) to the ferry and town.
The hotel was well located, very close to the centre of Aegina town. The pool was lovely and Spiros on reception was very friendly and helpful. It was very well priced.
