Kasbegi is a nice town on the route to the Russian border.
Kasbegi is a nice town on the route to the Russian border. Lots of traffic therefore, but a little out of the center it’s quiet. Restaurants and terraces are there. And offcourse very much and different hiking possibilities

Beautiful little town with spectacular 360 view of mountains. Lovely walks to Gergeti and other places. You need a certain degree of fitness to enjoy the walks. Cafe Maisi - lovely meals served in this little gem. Also enjoyed Restaurant Cozy Corner. Kazbegi Good Goods was unfortunately closed.
Easy transfers available from Tblisi.
If you are into ice climbing Mont Kazbek is a great experience.

A scenic hotel and an experience to remember! Service was great, staff were friendly. prices are affordable. Facilities were good although the pool area was heated which was too much given it was already hot and sunny outside.
Gym is very basic but the view made it up!

Generally, tourist travelling to Stepantsminda do a day trip...
Generally, tourist travelling to Stepantsminda do a day trip from Tbilisi and are not able explore the location much due to tour plans. But this location is definitely worth exploring more. The must visit places in this area are Gergeti Trinity Church, then on the way from the church there is Kazbegi Zipline which is 1.2kms long zipline and it cost 120 Lari. Then there is Viewpoint Terek valley 10-15min drive, after that there is Gveleti Big Waterfall which needs trekking. The Dariali Monastery Complex is must visit which is near to Russia-Georgia border. Then Ioane Natlismcemeli is another Monastery which is in Stepantsminda which can be accessed from the main market area towards the mountain. The most calmest and peaceful location of Stepantsminda.

The food is awesome, the people are amazing, the views are stunning, nature at its best!
A must visit if going to Georgia.
We loved the view, the terrace, and the room itself. While Kazbegi is not about chilling in the hotel room, it's a bounty to return to the cozy warm room after dozens of steps in the mountains. There is a place on the second floor, where you can have tea or coffee and warm your food, sit back and relax, and also another terrace to watch the night sky above in the comfy something. The design of the entire place is just perfect. Wish you the best, the Misty Mountains Hotel team🤝
hospitality was as expected, Georgia is not really known for good hospitality, we stayed in 3 other hotels in georgia, but were really disappointed with behavior if the staff and non welcoming nature, but when i arrived at Rooms hotel, the hospitality was as good as it could be. and the facilities are good too, rooms are clean, specially the view from the balcony is surreal.
l don’t normally give reviews, but l found this hotel to be the best over the last 2 weeks of travelling around Georgia. Beautiful rooms, amazing views, and best of all was the amazing breakfast. They put 100% effort into providing the best breakfast I’ve had in Georgia.
