A scenic hotel and an experience to remember! Service was great, staff were friendly. prices are affordable. Facilities were good although the pool area was heated which was too much given it was already hot and sunny outside.

Generally, tourist travelling to Stepantsminda do a day trip from Tbilisi and are not able explore the location much due to tour plans. But this location is definitely worth exploring more. The must visit places in this area are Gergeti Trinity Church, then on the way from the church there is Kazbegi Zipline which is 1.2kms long zipline and it cost 120 Lari. Then there is Viewpoint Terek valley 10-15min drive, after that there is Gveleti Big Waterfall which needs trekking. The Dariali Monastery Complex is must visit which is near to Russia-Georgia border. Then Ioane Natlismcemeli is another Monastery which is in Stepantsminda which can be accessed from the main market area towards the mountain. The most calmest and peaceful location of Stepantsminda.

Great place for hiking up mountains, wonderful nature to see. Gergeti monastery was an easy climb of about an hour. The village was small, dusty and quiet, not so much to do in November and not so many tourists. Simple and beautiful place with fresh air and silence.

We went to Kazbegi to see the Gergeti Trinity Church and Mount Kazbek, and were extremely fortunate with the weather - in November.
During our visit to Gergeti Trinity Church, the sun was shining at 15 Celsius in the air and just wispy clouds were in the sky. The next day snow fell on the slopes, and the temperature hit freezing point.
The drive ut from Tbilisi is something to be mindful of if you are easily stressed or inexperienced. We drove ourselves, and I am an experienced driver who has been driving all around the world.
You should set aside 3+ hours for the drive - and be prepared for a large number of semi-trailers heading in both directions. Be prepared to pass them when the situation allows. And be prepared for them to pass each other when the situation doesn't.
When you arrive in Stepantsminda, the town in Kazbegi where we stayed, you are at the mercy of the weather when it comes to what you can see and do. If the mist shows up, the view is gone.
On the road down, use the engine brake on your car - or else you might fry the regular brakes.

The scenery is breathtaking.
The scenery is breathtaking. The visitor centre on the main street is useful and friendly. You can drive up to the Church , iconic photographic opportunity.
We visited in September, not very touristy at this time.
Its a relatively small place with a couple of shops.
The drive up and backon the Georgian Military highway is not an easy journey, lots of lorries , you quickly learn to overtake them on bends.
A great place to stay and so reasonably priced for what you get. It's new and the beds are very comfortable. Beautiful upstairs terrace with fantastic view of the mountains. The best part, though, are the family that own and operate the guest house - Anna and her young son Guka were so welcoming. Guka speaks excellent English! Lots of animals around the home too that all want your attention. We enjoyed the place so much we returned for a few more nights. Possibly our favorite lodging in our one month in Georgia!
It will be the best place you can find to stay in Kazbegi. This small hotel, still under construction, offers comfortable accommodation with TV, heating, amenities, washing machine and a very large and well-equipped kitchen for meals or cooking. But the best thing is the service, the owners, even without speaking English, did everything possible to make our experience better, they even helped us get a car with a driver to take the tour in Juta at a fair cost. We truly recommend this hotel!
Rooms Hotel Kazbegi is my favourite hotel in Georgia. Wonderful location, surrounded by mountains with a stunning view of Mt Kazbegi. The rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable and each room has a balcony which offers a view of the forest or mountains. The breakfast buffet offers a wide selection and the food is very good. The spa offers some great treatment options, a heated pool and hot tub. If you are looking for some peace and tranquillity, then I would highly recommend this hotel.
So we stayed here for 1night, (we thought it would be enough) room was very cozy and warm. beautiful view of the kazbek. Trust me, I am a very picky eater, restaurant really nailed it with the food, I mean come on, how can a grilled chicken be this delicious 😍😄… Also just want to say, very surprised at the costs of kazbegi, very cheap compared to gudauri…

It is rather new hotel. It operates as family hotel - cozy and warmly welcoming. Great breakfast would be specially prepared for you. And in Georgia they know the best in eating - from the very morning till forever.

Nice family run hotel, the daughter in law spoke english well. Had dinner twice in restaurant, Trout and salad were great. Breakfast was simple. My room was a 302, corner unit with best view in hotel. I was upgraded. Lots of street construction going on. Room was super clean and very nice. I would stay here again. They also did my laundry for a great price of 15GEL
Great location, close to the centre, with a great view on Kazbegi from the main terrace. It was a real pleasure to stay at Rustaveli, the rooms and bathroom are renovated and clean. The hosts are extremely helpful, if you need a taxi they will pick you up for affordable price. Thank you very much. For sure that was so far the best place we stayed in Georgia !
Location couldn't be better. We were in a privileged location in Kazbegi facing the monastery at top of the mountain and having this amazing mountain right behind us as well where we did hiking!
On top of that we were right beside Rooms hotel. So we did all our meals there and enjoyed the view without having to spend much on accomodation.
A very cozy hotel with a great view on Kazbegi Mountain. The room is spacious, clean and warm. There's everything you might need: bathrobes, towels, toothbrushes, slippers, shower gels, a hairdryer.
The host speaks English well and you can settle everything with him.

The owner of this place was very friendly and pleasant. We had booked the cheapest room but instead she offered us the best room of the stay with mountain and city view. The breakfast was very varied and you should definitly try the homemade pancakes! Our best stay in Georgia for sure.
Very nice location, the view is stunning! Located on the north of the town, about 15min walk to the market. 3min walk to Rooms hotel(where u can get lunch&dinner). The host was very friendly, we communicated with the translator (Georgian and English), she was always willing to help!
One of the best places I have been in is Georgia and Kazbegi. We had a mountain view where Gergeti church is also visible. A super cosy place to stay (especially if you love wooden houses), our host was kind and helpful. 5 min walk distance from the centre. Strongly recommended!
Hosts at Come & Rest are amazing, very welcoming and hospitable people. They gave us all the comfort for two days, as well as guidance for the best local food restaurant (which really was an exceptional restaurant), and even drove us to Juta hiking trail from Kazbegi.
