Our arrival experience was very smooth as I was chatting with the contact person that gave me a good overview about the route I needed to take to get there at night. The person that took over was as great as the first one. The drive from Abasha through the village labyrinths at night was smooth until we reached quite near the property as the road had repairs underway. I was very vigilant as the contact person had already warned me about possible stray animals on the road. There was literally not checkin formalities, however, I would rather see some formalities such as collecting our IDs, etc, needless to say the checkin was very smooth. It was a bit difficult to find the location of the property as the coordinate pins stopped at the road that was 200 Meters away. The old couple lived at the shanty at the beginning of the muddy road leading to the property guided us. Thanks for the technology! The cottage was beautiful, overlooking the valley in front and mountains behind. The place is a big congested, however, if you get the gist of the cottage, it's absolutely fine. The complimentary breakfast (it wasn't part of the package) was sumptuous. Bathroom is beautiful with an upscale tub. Balcony was beautiful Martvili Canyon is just 4 Km away.

First of all the hosts – it felt like visiting my long distance relatives – super sweet, super welcoming, super friendly! Breakfast – not expensive, freshly made, locality sourced ingredients, made with love – simply perfect! I had such a great time at this adorable cottage! It was super clean and tidy, although it did get a bit chilly sometimes. Luckily, the hosts were awesome and offered to light the fireplace, which made it so cozy. Speaking of the hosts, they were really friendly and welcoming. They gave me some great tips on what to do around the area, which was super helpful. And let me tell you, their home-cooked meals were absolutely delicious! Overall, staying at this cottage was just wonderful. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfy and hospitable getaway.

We really liked our stay in Guest House Balda! We especially liked the warm welcome by Giorgi and his family. They are very attentive hosts, we talked a lot and learned about Georgia and its culture. They are extremely flexible and cooked us a lovely dinner. Breakfast gave us energy for a long day of hiking. Giorgi and his parents know the region very well and can give great advice! Our room had a beautiful view of the mountains.we also appreciated the quiet of this small village...we slept really well there. Last but not least: Farm pup Charlie is super cute and took care of entertaining everybody ;)
