Soviet style living in big soviet building / block. Really authentic experience. was like traveling back in time. The radiators didn’t work so it was cold but added a little extra to the whole experience. The hallway inside the building to the apartment was very atmospheric.

The center is in 5 minutes walking, but unfortunately we didn't have time to explore Chiatura itself. The location of the city is as far to Katskhi, as to Sveri.
The apartment is big: it has 2 bedrooms each for 2 people and 2 couches in the dinning room.
Each bedroom actually has 2 beds pushed together.
Very pleasant, polite and very helpful owner. She knows at least 2 foreign languages (english and russian) and answers questions very carefully. Also she agreed to give us 2 keys (it was important for us).

Very friendly and sweet hostess and good price quality level. The accommodation has direct access to the column (just a few minutes walk) and we loved the breakfast that was served outside.

It is a Special place in Georgia because of cable cars - very good for fotos of buildings. But the cable cars does not work since May 2019. Only one Restaurant is situatet behind the traffic-bridge at the right side.

The cable cars in town do not work any more due to safety reasons, which was a dissapointment for us seeing it was the reason we went to Tsjiatoera. There is not much else to see or do in town and its not a town to stroll through. But at the other side it can be nice to see this raw and industrial and older side of Georgia.
