The decoration is to a very high standard, a great sized bedroom and beautiful bathroom with toiletries. The food and service were both excellent. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Stopped for one night while walking the SDW the pub is situated not far from the trail and was well worth the detour, you det to see the Long Man of Wilmington too.

All good except no room serviced , could understand this during pandemic but to keep it up now not right, just getting less for our money.
Also Sunday meal was not good, only spicy foods available & what was there looked like it had sat for far to long & no wine served at the table, apart from a nice room, what were we getting for our money.?

Loved the hotel! Room was a bit dated but clean and comfortable bed, had a bath that was good! Would have like a later breakfast Time only had one hour slot ,and was really busy but was served quickly and staff pleasant. The entertainment at night was for the older guests we are in our 50s but youngest there but to us it didn’t matter we also enjoyed the exercise going up and down the stairs to the 5th floor which we was on … all in all we enjoyed our stay in the queens hotel and would stay there again .

Location is good - however, rear view rooms back onto an A/C unit (or similar machinery) which is very noisy - making the stay uncomfortable.
Downstairs restaurant seemed nice, but there was never anyone around to take orders - a bit of a goose chase. Upstairs corridors and rooms had a lick of paint, but not enough to mask the old smells.

The room was lovely, great size, beautiful view of the coast, beach and seafront, brilliant that the room had a fan as it was quite warm in there and the bathroom had a bath which I really appreciated as I had just completed the Marathon Mighty Hike so it was a bonus to be able to relax in a hot bath and there was a bottle of Radox there so that was a bonus

We didn't get to see that much of Wilmington itself as we were mostly staying within proximity of the Love Supreme Festival happening near Glynde and felt this would be a secluded rest point not too far away and make a difference to main hotel chains. We were pleased with our choice but could have done with more time to explore the local area itself.
