breakfast awful and overpriced at £20 per head , receptionist indifferent to guests and not welcoming, shortage of staff, rooms dirty dusty and uncleaned apart from bedding and towels , no hot water for shower some days, lack of staff on reception, in bar and restaurant/breakfast beautiful surrounding outside but generally shoddy and dirty like most of the other reviews for last 12 months also toilet bowl brown stains and bathroom and bedroom run cotton bud or wet tissue around woodwork dirt and dust and tea stains on the wall
We came for a short break and we loved it.
The WIFI signal might become slow during your stay but nothing that you can't work with.
You had TV in the room with Netflix, which is a plus.
It was an amazing stay.
Bed and pillows very good, breakfast amazing, loads of hot breakfast. The vegetarian dish that I hose was so good.

My friends and I had no other purpose than to spend time together and, (apart from a delicious lunch at The Pear Tree - 5 mins walk) we spent the entire 3 days in the garden and house. If you want a few days of peace and privacy, with whatever you need just a quick text away, then this is absolutely ideal. We loved having the horses hang out with us too. We cooked all our meals there, and there was nothing we couldn't find in the kitchen inc. salt, pepper & oil. Great shower, comfy beds, lovely decor - Lagard stables had everything we needed and more.
