Very accommodating. I visited with cycling friends. The staff couldn’t have done any more for us - so friendly. Our bikes were in a secure area. Comfortable rooms. Great dinner. Live music. Clean, comfortable rooms. Superb breakfast. Great value for money.

On arrival parking was easy, the location was well suited as a break from a long trip from Scotland, on arrival Lucy was very accommodating and made us feel very welcome, food was great! locals were friendly and added to the welcoming atmosphere during the evening, local beers on tap were delicious and went very well with the gourmet pub grub, we were lucky enough to have a musician turn up and provide entertainment whilst enjoying the local brews and the jovial atmosphere provided by the very friendly locals. Recommended as a respite from a long drive providing great accommodation with huge bathroom and lots of little extras that made our stay, Oh, and not to forget that the pub is dog friendly and rooms were far enough away from the pub noise to allow for a early night if needed.

Attention to detail is incredible. Every member of staff we met were amazing. The standard of food was incredible, presentation, taste & quality of the produce absolutely outstanding 5 star facilities, service & food in a Bed and Breakfast. I cannot praise The Farrier eough.

We had a fabulous stay at Highfield. We ate in the restaurant both evenings 😋 After having cocktails in the bar in the afternoon 2 for 1 so whats not to like ? Friday night was date night special & the food was lovely & service was perfect. Saturday night we booked the 8 course tasting menu with the wine flight. Every course was amazing & the wine complimented each course perfectly. Abbey was particularly excellent she checked us in,showed us to our room,bought us an iron & ironing board ,looked after us really well for drinks Friday & wine flight Saturday. Thank you Abbey. All in all, i would recommend this Highfield to anyone looking for a great stay at a very well run & quirky hotel. We will definitely be returning 😁
