We stayed with our granddaughters (10 and 12). The family room was exceptionally spacious, nicely presented and warm, and the girls had their own twin-room with its own TV. I was worried because we were right at the side of the A64, but we weren’t disturbed at all by traffic noise, and earplugs were thoughtfully provided, had we needed them. Fabulous evening meal in a lovely , airy dining room. Beautifully cooked and presented breakfast and dinner. Catered for our various preferences. Prompt, friendly service at all times by all staff.

Very modern. Neat and compact. Fine for a weekend, but small for a holiday base. Pub attached with a good menu. We ate there for tea and breakfast and the food was excellent. Lovely staff.

We selected the cheapest room as it was an over night stay. The photos made it look bigger than it was . Would recommend paying the extra for one of their other rooms (which we have stayed in and are far better.) The evening menu was more expensive than the normal pub food but was beautifully cooked and in lovely surroundings either taken in the restaurant or the pub

Many local attractions close by if travelling by car. Both pubs do not open until 4pm at this time of year so had to go elsewhere to find somewhere for lunch. Found a lovely place at Potter Brompton called Sally Middlewood Farm Shop & Tea Room, very good and worth a visit.

Good location for exploring this area of Yorkshire, for Moors and coast. Professional and welcoming owners and staff. The room and public area were fitted out to a very good standard, and pub and food obviously popular with travellers and locals alike. I selected it as a one night stop on my way to a tour of Scotland, but I was happy to book it again on my return trip home 👍

The room was a small twin but as it was only one night that wasn't a problem, it was very clean and the breakfast was a lovely start to the day. The young man who served us had exception customer service, very polite and just the right interaction, but as it is an independent village pub/hotel all the staff were very pleasant.

Lovely small hotel/restaurant in a small village just half an hour from the coast. The owners Julia and Karl, and their staff, were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Julia even made sure our dog Archie got a sausage for breakfast! The food in the restaurant was excellent and great value for money as well.
