To my delight, the accommodating staff offered to serve meals in the bar area, where I indulged in a culinary journey that surpassed all expectations for a venue of this standard. The menu boasted an array of tantalizing dishes, expertly prepared using the finest ingredients, resulting in a symphony of flavors that left my taste buds dancing with delight. Furthermore, the prices were remarkably reasonable, making every bite a true feast for the senses. As I retired to my room, I found the accommodations to be both practical and comfortable, albeit showcasing a touch of age. The mattress and pillows provided a blissful respite, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of exploration. However, for the warmer summer months, I would recommend the hotel consider offering thinner quilts to enhance the comfort of their esteemed guests. Despite this minor suggestion, I would not hesitate to choose the Tiverton Hotel Lounge as my preferred abode should I find myself in the area once again. Its unparalleled hospitality, coupled with its convenient location, make it an ideal choice for discerning travellers seeking a retreat amidst the captivating beauty of Devon.

Lovely building in the centre of Bampton. Great shared facilities, including lounge, kitchen, washing machine and drier. Easy parking out front or nearby.

Clean and tidy great staff bed was a bit on the hard side for us but the room was great.loads of parking and safe. Good was very good .

Where to begin - so fabulous. A fairy tale castle, flower bedecked, on the banks of the River Exe, but comfortable, welcoming, and well run. If they have a vacancy, and you have a romantic streak, do stay here.

The house and furnishings have great character. We requested a simple breakfast, taken in the Morning room, which was lovely. The ensuite shower was fantastic, and we really enjoyed our walk aroung the walled garden.
