2nd visit for us. Daughter & I came last year & the location was perfect for the event we were attending. The rooms are nice & clean & the staff super helpful. The thing that’s especially good is the electric car charging as coming from Bristol it was great to recharge overnight for the return journey. Definitely would stay again has a great vibe about the place.
This property is the oldest hotel in Hertford and offers bedrooms with period features and free Wi-Fi. With a traditional pub restaurant, the hotel is 150 metres from Hertford Museum.

Room was good. Good shower. The bed unbelievably comfy. It could do with putting a bottle of water in the room. Also, for the love of God I couldn't work the coffee machine despite reading the instructions! Continental breakfast was depressing.
Hertford House offers contemporary, bespoke accommodation in a convenient location. Free WiFi is available throughout the hotel. The property features a bar and a restaurant.
I lived in Hertford for years so was visiting friends.
I lived in Hertford for years so was visiting friends. Ware is now a far nicer town than Hertford (for a long time it was the other way round). Lots of nice bars, pubs, restaurants etc.
Nice place.

Compact but attractive own with many nice old buildings with a good choice of shops, pubs and restaurants. The musem, churches and river also gives it a greater sense of place.
The good rail link alao means that London is only 50 odd minutes away.
The only main problem is, at times, the heavy traffic going through the high street.

Ware is a pleasant small river town with some lovely old buildings. Plenty of pubs restaurants and coffee houses. If the weather is good you can walk to Hartford 1.5 miles along the river which is another old town steeped in history.
Really enjoyed my stay in this cute (not so) little 1 bed apartment right in the centre of Ware. The place was warm, comfortable and very well equipped and the landlord was beyond helpful with any requests I had. left something behind when I checked out and they were in contact within hours to let me know and organise postage back to me - a much appreciated extra mile from them to ensure my stay was up to standard. I'll be working in the area in future and will be disappointed if I can't get the chance to stay here again.
A beautiful comfortable hotel with lovely grounds. Some areas of the external needs some TLC e.g the outdoor dining area could do with a lick of paint & new furniture etc. Excellent customer service by all the happy staff. The Bar staff & food was very good. Suggest classical music to be played in the bar area. We had an early start in the morning & the Chef & his team were very efficient at breakfast & served a tasty breakfast. Would highly recommend a stay at this hotel.
Everything! Cleaned and finished to a high standard. Even extras you wouldn't expect! Location was perfect and only a 60 second walk from a Supermarket for necessities. Warm and cosy and quiet at night. Very secure and really appreciated the off road secure parking. Communication with the host was excellent. Dont look anywhere else in Ware, this is everything you need and more. Definitely be back!
Clean, comfortable, charming little Cottage located centrally within Ware.
Clear, easy instructions to locate and enter the property. WiFi was good and strong. Kitchen was equipped with facilities and amenities to make drinks.
Rooms were both lovely - Small single room and one bigger double room. Bathroom had a nice proper bath.
I needed a place to stay in Ware for a family celebration, the Rifle was perfectly located for us, it is just a short walk from the town centre and the train station. The staff in the pub were really welcoming and kind. The room had all we needed for a couple of nights stay, it was clean and comfortable. I would stay again.
Staff were super friendly and helpful. The people really made the place. Rooms were clean and fresh. Good location if we want to be nearby to Ware High Street. Slept well and comfy bed. We needed a place to stay and it did the good just fine.
The location was exceptional. Breakfast was good. General hotel was beautiful. Given the very high cost the rooms were a disappointment. They were small, had no refrigeration facility and no opportunity to use air conditioning.
Breakfast was good, staff were good, grounds were good, venue was nice. Like the vintage feel of the hotel. My room was spacious and I had a decent view.
