It was very accommodating and the views and food were fantastic most of the staff were very polite. The room was big and we could see the lake from the window which was also excellent. The beds were quite comfy and we had a good night rest also very clean and well maintained. I loved the option that we could sit outside and eat with the views which were lovely when the sun was out.

There is nothing in Underbarrow but a few houses, a pub, a very pretty church and a lot of nature. Great place to be for a relaxing countryside getaway - but close enough to supermarkets in Kendal and the "touristy stuff" in Windermere and the wider Lake District.

We both recommend the underbarrow village.
We both recommend the underbarrow village. Out of 9.9. yes me. Victoria Louise mason and Christopher Andrew Ralph did take some rather nice and wonderful and fabulous photos. While we were staying in the lodge.
The bed was comfy but the experience was totally spoilt by the very difficult access. It's nowhere near Underbarrow for starters. We couldn't find it, my sister in law who lives in the area couldn't find it, Taxi drivers couldn't find it, nobody could find it.
